chapter 3 - meeting the other boys

I decided I should wake up early and get ready which I managed to do , it had been a week since that argument with luke and honestly I could care less we haven't talked since it happened .
I walked across my room making sure to pick up my phone on the way , this is gonna be much harder to pull off now due to all the tension I opened the door to room and walked out shutting it behind me seeing luke in the kitchen picking up a water . I turned the other direction sitting on the couch I wasn't for sure when we were supposed to leave only he know I'd assume.
"Are you ready to go?"
I heard his voice ask the first words that had been shared towards me in a while I turned towards him his voice was coated with annoyance as he looked at me awaiting an answer
"Yeah"
I said bluntly keeping myself as short as possible in regards to replying to him.
"At least act like we are dating out there yah?"
He asked in annoyance still. I had hoped it wouldn't be like this , him acting like a complete stuck up jerk but my hopes for that shot down quickly .
"I know what to do luke it's not rocket science...can we go now?"
I asked rolling my eyes and walking towards the door pulling it open and walking out not caring to heat his next snotty remark .
I pressed the down button on the elevator and waited for the doors to open . Luke came up beside me and just stood there .
The doors opened and I was the first to jump in I stood as far away from luke as the four corners could let me I put my hand out to luke knowing the doors were about to open
"Um?"
He asked looking down towards my hand
"The doors are gonna open any second , you wanna make this look real right ?"
I asked shaking my head feeling his hand fall into mine, the doors open and we through on our fake smiles seeing the paps already standing there cameras ready ,
Luke opened the big glass doors and walked us out they all started shouting stuff and snapping photos , I pressed closer to luke hoping he could guide us to the car safely , I looked up seeing the door to the car opened and I immediately climb in .
  Luke had this way of making this all seem so real it's like in public he's so chill and nice so different from behind closed doors . I hate him but at the same time I feel so attracted to him it was frustrating .
The car drove off turning corners here and there me luke hadn't spoken a word I mean it is extremely hard have you ever been in a fake relationship with someone and not even speak a word ? That can cause poor "acting " aka
It won't seem real to anyone but we both seem like we can handle this I just hope this doesn't fall through cause it will be really bad for luke and me.

  We stopped at a big building I would assume an apartment building the door opened and luke got out paps already here again. He grabbed my hand and smiled at me helping me out
"Thank you "
I said standing up out of the car the door shutting after me before I could even turn around I saw Jeff the bodyguard who stepped in front of us making away for us to walk through .
We finally entered the building and walked up a few flights of stairs
"Fair warning now they are a bit weird just so you know now"
He said laughing as we reached an apartment door . Giving me mixed signals here luke do you hate me or not??
I chuckled along and nodded
"Ok" I said as he knocked on the door I didn't here much from the other end just the door swinging open revealing a very blonde headed boy who I assumed was micheal I have heard of them before but I kinda got busy and forgot their names ish.
"Hey dude what's up"
He said smiling and hugging luke he turned to me and smiled
"And you must be mackenzie. ..I'm micheal"
He said putting his hand out for me to shake and I did so smiling
"Yup that's me "
I laughed making him laugh as well
"Ok well why don't you guys come in and you can meet the other boys "
He said pulling the door open all the way letting us walk in as he stepped out of the way a round of cheers erupted from the couch although I couldn't see much due to luke in my way
"Aye mate!"
I heard someone yell and hugs begun to be shared between luke and who I believe was Ashton and Calum . Luke pulled away and pointed to the boys one by one talking as he did so
"This is Calum and this is Ashton "
He said pointing to the tattoo covered one and the one with curly hair similar to Luke's but Ashton had it longer .
" Hi I'm mackenzie "
I said smiling and shaking both there hands
"This is my girlfriend "Luke said as I parted away from the boys
"Wait how long have you been dating ?" Calum asked looking from me to luke scrunching his eyebrows together
"Almost a month now"
He smiled and that's when I thought do they know that this is fake ?
"Well damn, If only your "relationship " wasn't a thing I'd be all over that"
I heard micheal call from behind me I laughed out loud at his comment thankfully they knew or that would've been even trickier
"Aye man my girlfriend "
I heard luke laugh from behind me I was beyond confused maybe he wanted to make it seem nothing happened a week ago to them like it was okay.
"You guys want a beer?"
Calum asked standing up with raised eyebrows
"Yeah I'll take one "I nodded towards he smiled and looked to luke who nodded
"You can sit yah know? "
Ashton said laughing I laughed awkwardly and sat down next to luke on the couch aka the only open spot.
I leaned back seeing Calum appear handing me the beer
"Thank you"
I smiled taking a sip from it noticing that familiar taste of pumkin which happened to be my favorite beer, it's the only thing that I like that has pumpkin flavor In it. Well that and coffee.
"Aye this is my favorite beer"
I said looking at the bottle before setting it down hearing a few chuckles , I didn't feel awkward around these guys like I usually get when meeting new people for the first time .
"You gotta keeper"
Calum nodded forward making luke chuckle I smiled and before I know it we all were involved in a conversation on random topics.

"Hey Calum , where's the bathroom? "
I asked standing up from the couch thanking myself as I stretched my legs
"Down the hall 2nd door on your right and you can call me cal"
He said smiling I nodded
"Haha ok thanks "
I said picking up my phone and walking towards the hall opening the door and walking in , and to my suprise it was really clean for three boys .
I didn't really need to go I just wanted to text my best friend who I haven't been aloud or able to talk to since I left although now I was able to.
I clicked on her messaging thread and sent her a text
