"Mama!" I yelled, scooping her into my arms. She squealed into my ear and I swear, I almost went deaf. That's my mom for you...

"Nat! Is Leane here?" My dad's voice interrupted our hugging session and in less than a second, my dad appeared behind my mom with a wide grin spread across his face.

His bright blue eyes gazed at me with joy and his dark brown hair was gelled into some weird hairstyle ( kind of like Zac Efron's in Hairspray ) that made it look so shiny I swear, it could double as a mirror.

Nah... just kidding. It couldn't be that shiny.

Is it even possible to have so shiny, glossy hair that you could see your reflection? I should try that out sometime...

Ugh... There goes my brain again.

"Leane!"

"Hey pa."

I wheezed when he crushed me in a hug out of the blue but he didn't seem to notice. "I thought I could never see my baby girl again. But when the prince called, I couldn't believe it."

He was saying it all so fast, my brain had a hard time keeping up with it.

You guys know my brain. It's probably the size of a peanut... or an ant.

The latter sounds more accurate don't you think?

"Hey... pa. You know I'd find a way to visit you right?" He grinned at me.

"Of course you would. I bet you had a hard time convincing the guy. What did you do? Bat your eyelashes and make a weird puppy face or something?"

I shook my head, a chuckle escaping my lips. "None of that pa. You know I could never pull that off. Now will you let me in or what?"

Mother let out a tsk at my father. I almost laughed at the disapproving look he was giving father. Almost...

If I laughed,I'd be dead meat. Mom takes things very seriously... sometimes.

"Dear, She'll get sick. It's freezing cold out there."

I was grabbed by the arm and yanked in the house like a rag doll. Seriously?! Has mom been working out or something?

"Leane!" And there goes my name again. Was I that famous?

I know I'm awesome and all but my name has been called too many times and my brain is not... I repeat...Not keeping up.

Something small latched onto my waist and a pair of chocolate brown eyes stared up at me innocently.

"Lara!" I picked her up and spun her around, earning an earful of giggles.

Lara was my 6 year old sister and if you're asking why the huge age gap...

Well... can you keep a secret? Ehh... I'm sure you could.

She's adopted.

Her mother was my father's sister and when Lara was only 3, her parents died in a car crash. Because of a stupid moose on the road.

No... I'm sorry moose, I love you guys! You guys aren't stupid.

Now, back to the topic... So, we decided to adopt her and tah dah!! My cute little sister.

She was such a sweetheart if you ask me! She doesn't whine or complain compared to other certain people (*cough* like me *cough*).

Did you hear something? I bet you didn't...

I put her down and bent down to her eye-level. "How ya doin' my lil' sis?"

She grinned at me as I ruffled her hair. "Great! But..." She trailed off with a sad look, her lower lip jutting out into a pout.
