I jumped out the car even before it stopped, earning myself a few cuts and maybe a  bruise.

Oh great!

Just fantastic!

As you can see, my brain isn't working properly but you can't blame me. Blame the candy and the ice cream Cole bought me after he bought me my burger.

I devoured half of the tub and all of the candies on the ride home and now...

I had sugar rush.

But sugar was nice...

I mean it was sweet.

What harm could it do?

"What in the world were you doing Leane?! You could've killed yourself!" Cole was beside me in an instant, gripping my arm and turning me so I was facing him.

Oh, he was PISSED!

But instead of a logical explanation as to why I jumped, a giggle erupted from my mouth and I tilted my head to the side. "Jumping out of things is nice."

No matter how much I tried to control myself and try to act sober, I just couldn't control my body.

I had way too much sugar intake.

If my mom was here, I'd be on a stake with the words stupid painted neon pink in my forehead and she'd let me watch as she'd burn all the candy she can find.

Oh God. The horror!!!

Cole, seeing my problem, wordlessly led me by the arm to the front door. He still looked kind of mad but he looked better.

Less mad than before at least.

"Remind me to never give you sugar ever again." He muttered under his breath and I gasped dramatically.

"But-"

He hushed me with a look and I kept my gaze at the floor, finally feeling myself go sober. I just needed some water and I'll be fine.

I knew I shouldn't have eaten that lollipop.

We burst through the front door and I headed for a nearby chair.

"Water... Give me water." I said quietly and I peeked at him through my lashes. He gave me a nod before rushing away, giving me one last look before disappearing through a door.

The pack house was big. It was the one where the ball was held.

The rooms for the pack members were upstairs and 1 whole floor was for the high rankers in the pack. Some pack members though live in their own houses scattered in the forest at the back of the pack house.

Cole explained quite a few things to me the day before yesterday about this and I actually remembered most of it. I had a hard time keeping up with him because he pounded too much info into my poor little brain.

He even gave me a tour but never finished because he had to go work or something.

I've only stayed here for a day ( when I woke up to find he kidnapped me which was Friday and a beautiful holiday ) and a night and I already loved the place.

I never really saw anyone mainly because I just usually stayed at the upper levels where the alpha's  and beta's  families stayed.

My eyes travelled around the ballroom on silence. The place was completely empty and sunlight streamed through the windows, giving the place a very sunny feeling. It almost seemed weird that the place was empty.

The ballroom was made for crowds and seeing no one was kind of making it look so... lonely.

Cole suddenly appeared out of nowhere ( yet again ) and I squealed.

THE HECK?!

I whacked his arm angrily which didn't affect him at all.

Stupid werewolf strength.
