Kuroko's POV
As I heard the door bell I stood up from my bed and walked towards the door. I expected it to be Shiro, but I was wrong. It was Aomine Daiki from Touou.
"Why are you here?" I asked as I let him walk inside. He had two big bags with him. Mom walked out of the kitchen and towards us.
"Kuroko. He'll be staying with us for a while. You had so many basketball games and I had work so I couldn't tell you." She said as she wiped the dish in her hands.
"Explains the big bags. He'll be using the guest room right? Good thing I cleaned it yesterday." I said as I looked towards him.
"I'm sorry for the intrusion." He said as he bowed.
"It's alright Daiki and yes Kuroko. He'll be using the guest room." Said mom.
"I'll show you the guest room." I said as I took one of the bags. It wasn't exactly light, but it was alright.
"I'll carry that. Girls shouldn't be carrying heavy things." He said as he reached towards the handles for the bag in my hand, but I pulled away.
As we entered the guest room I closed the door behind me and placed the bag on the bed.
"I want some info on Akashi and why he wants me to join his team." He looked at me a bit surprised. I sat on the bed without taking my eyes off of him.
"Maybe he has a crush on you." He said teasingly. Just as I sighed I heard the door bell again. This time it was Shiro.
'Fuck! Just how the hell would she react if she knew that Aomine is staying at my place?' I thought to myself just as the door opened and Shiro walked in.
"Why-Why is Touou's ace here?" She was totally confused. Aomine noticed that I didn't know how to explain so he did it for me.
"My house got on fire so I'll be staying here for a while." He said. Shiro had seemed that she had calmed down.
"So. What happened between you and Kise?" I asked. She has had a crush on him since he started modelling. Aomine was just standing there confused.
"No-I-Um. We just talked that's all." Her face was red including her ears. I chuckled a bit.
"Aomine. We'll be in my room. It's the room with all the posters on the door in the end of the hall. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask." I said as me and Shiro walked out of the guest room.
As I closed the door to my room behind me Shiro started asking me questions.
"How does it feel like to be living with the guy you have a crush on?" She said with a huge grin on her face.
"Normal I guess." I shrugged.
Aomine's POV
'That girl has the same name as Tetsu. Well family name at least.' I thought as I was laying on my bed. It had been at least half an hour since she went back to her room with her friend. Her mom had left to work 10 minutes ago too.
As I was daydreaming I suddenly felt the need to pee. I got up from the bed and headed towards Kuroko's room to ask her where the toilet was.
As I was about to knock on her door I heard her talking with her friend.
"You should go to the hospital. What if your knee gets completely destroyed and you can't play basketball anymore?" Her friend asked concerned.
"It's fine. I'll operate it before going to high school. It's just that I won't be able to play for a while after the surgery." Said Kuroko.
'What? But she looked just fine during her last game.' I gulped and knocked on the door.
"Come in." As I opened the door I saw Kuroko and Shiro sitting on the floor with lots of pictures surrounding them.
"Just on time! Why don't you join us?" I sat down next to Kuroko and looked at the pictures. They were all pictures of old basketball games. A certain picture caught my eye. It was of Kuroko in elementary school with a guy that I didn't recognize.
"Who is this?" I asked. Kuroko's face darkened for a moment.
"That's my brother." She said. She looked as if she were on the verge of crying. I guessed that it was a sad memory so I didn't ask anything else about him.
***
I was sitting on the sofa in the living room with Kuroko. Shiro had left some time ago so now it was just the two of us.
"Aomine. About Akashi..." She broke the silence as she was running through the TV channels.
"I'll ask him. But you should watch your back." I said as I yawned. Kuroko stopped at a news channel.
"Last night. A middle school girl was found at........ The girl had several cuts and stabbed wounds. She appears to have been raped. The murderer appears to have used Akumano middle school as an escape route." Said the woman in the news.
"Hey isn't Akumano the middle school you go to?" I asked Kuroko.
"Yes. But no one suspicious has been seen." She was pretty confused.
"The victim is identified as Asakura Asahina." Continued the woman on TV.
"Asahina?!" Kuroko suddenly jumped up from the sofa.
"Is she somebody you know?" I asked her with concern.
"We are teammates. Today she was supposed to play but didn't come. We assumed she just forgot or something." Said Kuroko as she sat back on the sofa calming down a bit. "Shiro doesn't usually participate so I guess it was a pretty big shock to the audience."
'Now that she mention it. I haven't seen Shiro play in a long time. I wonder why that is.' I thought.
"I'll ask mom for the details later."
"What does your mom work anyways?" I asked.
"Detective. I'll start preparing dinner it seems like mom will be back late." With that Kuroko left to the kitchen.
A/N
Hey. Sorry this one came out later than usual and I know I haven't worked on the other books either and I apologize for that.
I have a lot going on at home and school right now and not only that ,but I also need a new PC. My old one has gotten into a puchi furi state.
For those who don't know what puchi furi is. It's a Japanese term for when your computer constantly freezes.
So yeah. Now I'm collecting money for a MacBook Air since they're known to be ever lasting PC's.
Wish me good luck ^^
