I pound on the door loudly.
My heart pounds just as soundly.
What was she doing all alone?
She didn't take anything,
No tampons, no phone.

Alone,
She locked herself up in bathroom upstairs,
Probably sitting on the toilet lid since there are no chairs.

Silent sobbing,
but loud enough to hear the sniffles,
Small and sharp,
like the bullets of a riffle.
A war going on in her mind,
A struggle for self-acceptance she must find
She must also leave her past behind,
Never turning back,
Never pressing 'rewind'.

One kiss left her broken-hearted.
One kiss between a special bind;
Between her best friend and the person she deeply liked.

One kiss that told her she wasn't good enough,
That she wasn't perfect or peng or buff.

One kiss that made her realise,
Just because they're perfect,
She doesn't have to despise,
It her fault, that's what she realised.

And so,
A new door opened for her.
One she didn't have to take,
Her decisions were blurred.

She stepped in,
She was a lamb in a slaughterhouse.
She stepped in,
Cats around her, she, a mere mouse,
She stepped in,
And closed the door behind her.

"OPEN THE FRICKIN' DOOR DIADEMA!"

They all cried out,
She was crying too,
They began to shout.

She heard their concern,
She understood that they cared,
She looked at the mirror,
washed her face,
made it fair.
She waited until her eyes no longer became red,
She put on a fake smile,
So at least she wouldn't look so dead.

She unlocked the door,
Told everyone it was "okay,"
No need to worry,
it was just a little stomach ache,"

Everyone believed it,
Everyone but Jay,
Everyone but Jay believed she was "okay,"

Some people said,
"Phew,
I was really worried about you."

But they should be.

Because they have no idea what type of door she just walked through.
