January 15 2011 ,
Two things prevent people from happiness , living in the past and feeling numb like there's nothing to live for but to me... well It was more than that
"We gonna miss you so much Cait , come visit us soon darling please you are a part of our family and will always be" Alfred said and his eyes are puffy from the tears and I felt bad after a whole year living with those nice people who did everything they could do to help me go back to Seattle and live with my dad , I know deep down that I want to be here but I couldn't be a burden as I already am so I did the right thing I guess
"Caitlin w-we will miss you so much , I love you , take care of yourself please and I-I'll call you every week to check on you but keep in touch with us , okay?" Ruth said stuttering and she's sobbing right now as me and I hugged her tightly , Ruth was like my sister and in this year she was helpful to keep me sane and to forget about the past that will haunt me in every sleep and every minute
"I promise I'll keep in touch and I'll visit soon guys but till I settle there I'll call you , I love you so much t-thank you for everything you did to me , you were like a family that will never be replaced , yeah we are not related in any way b-but you taught me how to move on and for that I'm thankful and I-" I was cut by both of them hugging me and crying and whispering that I'll always be family and to me they will always be too.
"Uhh can we go now miss?" The driver of the cab said impatiently
"Sorry Y-yeah we should go by now I'll get late , good bye" I said and closed my eyes to contain my emotions. I hugged them one last time and hoped in the cab with the small bag beside me and the good and bad memories in my mind that could make a smile on my face or could make me want to kill myself for being their whore
To be scared was an understatement
I'm terrified that I'll be seeing my dad in few hours after 10 years since the divorce and I'm not blaming him for not talking to us cause I know so damn well that mom is the who was receiving his voicemails and the letters
They were checking the luggage and the passport before I head to the plane. So while I was walking my mobile start ringing so I answered and it was dad...
"Um hi Caitlin so where are you now darling?" He asked and I know that the situation is awkward for him as it for me
"Uhh hi dad , I'm heading now to the plane to to be seated" I said and kept playing with my fingers
"Okay so when should I be in the airport?" He said
"I'll be in the plane for 6 hours dad , so I think at 4 pm will be the time I'm off the plane right?" I said
"Yeah darling okay I'll be there to take you to our house" he said and we said our goodbyes so while I was putting my my phone in my pocket , my backpack hit a man's face and my eyes widened , and it was on the floor by now so I was kneeling to pick it up so a hand came into view and the man pick it up himself
"Oh god , I'm sorry sir I didn't mean to hit you with it I'm so sorr-" I was cut off by the guy smiling and now I take a look on his appearance , he was tall and tanned and his eyes was bright green , and his brown short locks.
"No it's not a problem at all , you are a little bit clumsy am I right?" He said and I frowned until I realized he was joking so I smiled politely and create some space between us
"Uh yeah , I'm sorry but I should go by now" I said and walked away but not until what he said
"Hey , at least tell me your name" he shouted with a smile plastered on his face
"Caitlin , my name is Caitlin" I said and he walked were I am and smiled
"You got a nice name there , I'm Harry by the way " he said and extended his hand for me to shake ..
So I backed away and he frowned
"Hey what's wrong?" He said and then smiled a small smile that didn't reach his eyes as the first time
So I ran as fast as I could to get on the plane and to avoid this horrible situation
