You can't go back

Chapter 1

|Skyes POV|

Monday morning, ugh. I woke up to my alarm clock and put it on snooze, and layed back down. But as soon as I remembered that my mom said we could get Starbucks if we weren't late I shot up and ran to my bathroom to shower. I went back to my room and picked out what I was going to wear. I decided on black jeans with a flowy white shirt and my grayish sweater with my black converse. We barely got ready in time but we did so my mom let us get Starbucks, I got my usual which is a grande strawberries and cream frappe with whip cream. 

*At school*

"Skylar Coffman you did what?!?!" I laughed as my bestfriend Rebecca yelled at me. "Chill Becca, I only got Starbucks." I laughed. "I know, but without me." "One time Rebecca, one time." I explained to her. "Fine, this is the only time I'm gonna let it slide, but next time bye bye Skye." She said with the death glare. "Ok" I said laughing. "Now that we have that out of the way, how was your weekend?" "Good I guess, what about yours?" I asked. "Good, after Sam and I went on our date he surprised me and we went to the beach!" She said excitedly. Becca and Sam have been going out since the beginning of the year, I don't like Sam but I don't wanna tell her so I keep it to myself. "Sounds fun, I wish I had a boyfriend preferably Cole." I told her sadly "seriously Skye, Cole has been dying to ask you out and and you guys flirt all the time." "I don't think a guy like Cole would like me." Rebecca stopped walking and started at me with the 'are you stupid?' Face "What?" "Are you kidding me? Cole basically loves you, and if y'all were old enough he would propose." With that we both walked off to our homerooms.

*Lunch*

I saw Rebecca walk into the cafeteria with Sam so I decided to go sit with my other friends. When I got to the table Alyssa and Carmen were fighting, so I jumped in. "Carmen and Alyssa what are you guys fighting about?" "Alyssa took my phone and posted my ugly selfie challenge on instagram." Carmen said while trying to get her phone back. "Alyssa give Carmen her phone back, you guys are difficult." "We wouldn't be so difficult if the world wasn't difficult." Alyssa said handing over Carmen's phone. Carter, Matt, and Leah were walking over to sit with us. "Hey Matt" I said with a mouthful of food. "Hey Skye" He said sounding pissed. "What's wrong with you?" I asked getting no response. "Well Leah and I aren't here." Carter said offended. "Hey Carter!" I said while getting up and hugging him. "Better" "hey Leah" "hey" she said while laughing. "So is anyone gonna tell me what's wrong with Matt?" I asked while sitting down. "He's upset because Jenn didn't text him back." Carter said laughing while sitting down. "It's not funny Carter, but then today she has the nerve to talk to me and act like nothing happened." Matt said sounding even more pissed. Ringgggg. "Sorry Matt." We all said as we walked off.

*End of the day*

I am so glad the day is finally over, today was torture but isn't everyday at school? I was walking out of school when I heard some noises coming from the side of the school. I decided to see what the noises were, I turned the corner and saw Rebecca and Sam making-out. Ew. "Come on guys, at school really?" "Sorry, we couldn't wait" Sam said, but tbh I wasn't paying attention to him I was paying more attention to Rebecca's neck. "Do you have your infinity scarf in your locker?" I asked her getting a puzzled look. "No, I took it home, why?" I unzipped my backpack and got my mirror. "SAM!!!" She yelled trying to get makeup to cover it up. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself." He said while smirking. "Come on Skye, help me cover this up." "What else am I here for?" I said while walking back into school.

*At my house*

When I got home I put my bag down and ran to the refrigerator. I got my snack and sat down on the couch with my phone. I turned on Netflix, because what else would you do after school? I finished my snack and went upstairs to start my homework. After a while I finshed and I heard the garage open so I ran downstairs and saw my mom with Emily and Steven. "Hey mom" "Hey sweetie, how was your day?" "Good, nothing interesting happened but it is school" I said while she laughed. "Well I'm going to make your day better." "Chipotle for dinner?!?!" "No." she said laughing. 

I couldn't believe it. After my mom told me I didnt know how to react. Happy or sad, I was happy for her, I just don't want change. I wish my dad was here, he would know what to say.
