Here he was, my long time enemy sitting in a chair his hands tied bound behind him. I raise my gun about to kill the person that made my life miserable. It wasn't always like this, we used to be so close. "You're hesitating." I hear him whisper mockingly. "If your going to shoot me might as well get it over with." I put my finger on the trigger trying to reason with myself  that he deserves this, that he had it coming. He ruined my life. I pull the trigger with my eyes shut, scared that if I saw his eyes again I would be filled with regret. He was quiet when I shot him didn't make a sound. I opened my eyes and saw the chair empty. He must've escaped, all that was left was a note. As I picked it up my hands were shaking furiously my eyes darted across the page. 

Nice try, but next time shoot with your eyes open.
