I hadn't slept all night and as soon as the sun peaked up over the beautiful city skyline, I got out of bed. I went into my bathroom and took a shower. I got out and blow dried my hair and curled it, did my makeup, and got dressed in a cute black and grey floral high waisted mini skirt and a maroon bow-like bandeau. I slipped on my maroon vans with white trim and quietly tip-toed my way downstairs to the kitchen.
I was hungry and I figured that the guys would be too when they woke up. I also owed them an apology and an explanation for last night so maybe I could do it over breakfast.
Now, where are the pots and pans? Hmmm...
I opened a few cabinets and drawers, and finally found two frying pans. I opened the fridge and grabbed some eggs and cheese before gathering some olive oil and pancake batter. I turned on the stove, poured oil in the pans and set them both down on burners. I cracked a few eggs into one of the pans and made the batter, pouring it in the other pan.
I got done a couple hours later and set down the last plate stacked high with pancakes in the center of the table next to a bowl full of cheesy scrambled eggs. There was butter and low-sugar syrup next to the stack and plates were arranged properly with silverware next to each.
I had apparently just gotten done in time because I heard talking upstairs. Only, it was two different people in two different rooms, too far away to be talking to each other. It seemed as if they were talking to themselves. Then realization hit me; they were filming for their many channels on YouTube.
I wanted to listen in out of curiosity and so I slowly backed up to where I was right underneath one of the people talking. I could faintly hear someone singing along to music and stood on my tippy toes to hear better, but somehow in the process I managed to knock over one of the frying pans that I had used onto the tile floor, making a loud clattering noise.
I cringed away from the loud noise, feeling guilty because I probably interrupted the two guys filming and woke up the others. I quickly picked up the pan and set it in the sink and washed it off before putting it in the dishwasher.
"Yummmmm what smells so goooooood?!" I heard Beau say as he came down the stairs. "James? You aren't usually up this early- Oh. Hi there." He said as he rounded the corner and saw me. He looked from me to the pancakes and back as if asking for permission.
"I made breakfast for you guys." I offer a smile and gesture to the dining table. He quickly dug into the food, practically inhaling it.
I heard the others come into the kitchen immediately and they all sat down and ate, moaning and praising me for my food. Their moaning made me somewhat uncomfortable... but in a good sort of bad way.
"Mmm James, your sista' definitely has your cookin' skills" Beau says as he nods. The other boys agreed.
I smiled as I ate my breakfast, proud of myself. When I was full, I figured now was my chance to explain.
"Hey, uh, about last night-" I started to say.
"We already know, Jai told us... Or at least, he told Luke and Luke told Beau and so on..." James says and looks down at his food sadly. "Mags... Why didn't you ever tell anyone? Mom and Dad never even knew what was truly wrong..." I looked at Jai disappointedly but he was too busy glaring at Luke to notice.
I sigh, "Because it had been taken care of and I didn't feel the need to share my pain with anyone else."
They stayed silent for a while, even after they had all finished eating and I had put the dishes in the dishwasher.
"Well uh, we have to go shoot another public nuisance video for our channel... Wanna come with us? We can show you around some of LA." Beau offered, trying to break the awkwardness. I certainly didn't want to be stuck home alone all day so I nodded. They all got dressed in less than 20 minutes and we were on our way.
