We all decided that we'd sleep in the living room together that night. We all brought down our blankets, pillows, and of course, phone chargers. I swear, the boys were always on their phones checking Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.
I lay in the middle of the sleeping bodies, staring at the ceiling. I was unable to sleep because of the worry and guilt that I was feeling... And the loud snoring. Beau lay next to me, snoring right in my ear as he was enveloped in a deep sleep. I sigh, unable to take it anymore. I carefully and slowly stand up and maneuver my way around each sleeping person. I made it upstairs flawlessly and let out the breath I was holding in as soon as I got into my room. I heard someone behind me and swiftly swung around, ready to scream.
"Shhh!" Jai says and places a hand to my mouth to keep me from screaming. I relax, seeing that it was just him.
"You scared me!" I whisper yell at him. "What are you doing awake?"
"I could ask you the same."
"I couldn't sleep..." I sigh and sit down on the mattress. He sat down next to me and held my hand, entwining his fingers with mine. I look at him, into his eyes that the moonlight lit up so beautifully. He looked at all of me, as if taking in the sight of me for a last time. The next thing I knew, his lips were softly pressed to mine. I instantaneously reacted and kissed him back, loving the sheer bliss that I currently felt. He pulled me into his body by my hips and then gently brushed a hand through my hair, almost forcing me to kiss him deeper.
I realized what I was doing and pushed him away from me. I gasped for breath and stood up. I looked at him and he looked back at me with a shocked and confused look.
"I can't- we can't!" I say, running my fingers through my hair messily. He stood and gently grabbed my forearms, pulling them down by my sides. He rubbed his thumb in circles on my skin.
"Hey, shhh, it'll all be okay beautiful. You're over thinking this." He says and cups my cheek with one hand. I couldn't help but get lost in his eyes for a millionth time.
"No!" I snap out of it and moved away from him once again. "This can't happen, Jai..." I turn and walk out the door and go downstairs. I lay back down in my original spot and sigh, going back to staring at the ceiling.
"Psst!" I heard someone make a weird noise at me and turned my head to see Beau's face only inches from mine. "What's wrong, baby girl?" He whispered quietly, looking at me with curiosity. I sigh and shrug, not able to tell him what had happened. "Mags..." He said, brushing a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
His face was only inches from mine and I could feel his warm breath. I glanced at his lips curiously. He must have taken it the wrong way because I was being kissed again. Only this time, he took the kiss really fast and let his hands search my body. A hand found a particular spot and made me gasp and break the kiss. I looked at him in shock and a bit angry.
I heard someone quietly clear their throat and looked over to see Jai. Oh god... I shook my head at Jai, not wanting him to misunderstand. But he wouldn't look at me and I could see the moonlight reflect and make a single tear on his cheek glisten. He lay down in his makeshift bed on the other side of the room and turned his back to me. I look over at Beau who also had his back turned to me, clearly putting two and two together.
I had majorly screwed things up...
