I woke up today feeling so tired and restless, I needed to do something with my over-worked life. My double sized bed seemed to be the only comfort I had from the real world, white sheets draping over, 4 oversized pillows, and the only companion, Smoky, my human sized teddy bear always by my side when I drift off into space.

"Cara!", my mom likes to remind me that i still have to be in the real world ,
" wake up, you'll be late for work!",

well that did it. 5 minutes later I'm out of bed, still in my pyjamas, bed hair, droopy eyes, hey how else am I suppose to look. I wouldn't care.

Walking straight into the kitchen of our 3 bedroom house, one story, thank goodness. Sat on our red plastic bar stools and just helped myself to some coffee from the steaming pot placed on our granite bench top.

"Your breakfast is ready, bacon eggs toast and spaghetti", she always smiles when she feeds me, especially.

"Cool mom, thanks",
I devour all the contents in the plate, satisfying with every taste.

"Hey mom, what's the plan today for you".

"Well I was hoping if we could have sometime together tonight, movies and popcorn?".

Hmmm. Something's up, "Spill it women".

"Cara, don't speak that way to me",

"Eww excuse me, I know somethings up, movies and popcorn, usually leads to, Youuu! being the show and me the audience eating popcorn".

Hah! That should get her to spill.
And on que.

" ok then fine but we will talk about it later then yeah?"

"Fine then" I say with an annoying face. She just continues on with washing dishes and preparing food for god knows who.

Had a shower then chucked on a black skirt and a black top, buned my long thick dark brown hair, it passed my butt and sometimes always annoying to comb. So its usually thrown in buns.

Felt like wearing makeup today so splashed some matte lipstick on with a little bit of brown eyeliner, being a fair colored skin person had its perks, I loved the contrast of makeup on me.

I say my goodbyes to my mom, as I head out, waved her goodbye and blew a kiss, I loved my mom. No matter how hard things have been for us well, we had each other. And said goodbyes and hellos like it was our last.

I hop on my navy blue scooter, then off  I went to work, just eager to finish the day and rush home to whatever secrets my mom had.
