Out in time

Really hot

Only 10am and its hot in our steeled factory, only been at work for an hour and I'm breaking sweats all over,

"Smoke break?", my friend but also close related cousin Brooke grabs out her packet of smokes and we head out for a puff.

"Today's freaking hot". Not even the wind was seeming to cool me down I noticed,

" Yeah I just realised it two, fuck."
She keeps puffing hoping to cool herself off, but it ain't working.

"I'd say we just close up the factory and make us a fucking drink for once, serving alcohol when we love alcohol just as much? I'm sick of this job."

She couldn't be so right about the job sucking though. We made alcohol and served it in however way we wanted to, just to sell. Shaken, stirred, mixed cocktail's, you name it.
Would like to say we were bartenders but someone hates us being referred to other common folk.

Just then Sally, our big boobed friend of 10 years rocks up on her big red Jupiter bike smiling like a mad man just about to pounce on someone.

"What's up you fuckfaces!"

"Hey!" I said with a half smile blinded by the sun.
Not long after, our last amigo Paula speeds in with the same happiness sally showed,
"Hi gals! Miss you beauty's"

"Hi Paulie!" Brooke had a smoke ready for the two that arrived. We've been together for 11 years through school and college, now working together, we were inseparable. The four Amigos! We would go anywhere together. Like anywhere in the world.

"So like how's everyone?" She asked

"Bored", this always came out of Brooke's mouth.

"Tired",

"Horny", we all looked at Sally,

" when are you never horny women?"

"When I'm sleeping!!"
We all just held our stomachs as we poured out our laughter.

The day did seem to get hotter though,

"Should we go inside and out of this heat" I was so badly wanting to get away from the sun, it just felt so freaking hot.

"Yeah, its getting worse guys, Paulie
Sally, you guys are upfront selling me and  Cara got to make more Devil juice."

We all went back inside to the shade, thank goodness the place had windows all over. Each one was open just sliding one half open and the rush of cool breeze flooded in.
I couldn't wait to get home and jump in the shower, I swear the heat just got worse! We had to change our tops because it just got soaked from all the sweating we did.
Brooke and I had to flavour our alcohol that day to have them ready by Christmas this year and to welcome 2017, just two more months away. But we couldn't, heat and alcohol didn't really go well together specially in this tin can house.

"CARA!" Sally screamed for me.

I ran to the front of the factory dodging the main table in the center of the back room passing the tidied boxes of bottles thrown into the corner of the wall, what separated the back to the front store was a wooden wall with box shaped windows and a door frame. I raced to her and found that Paulie was on the floor being held up by Sally just sitting behind her and letting her sit up, her nose was bleeding.

"Dammit!" I walk past them and shut the doors with a loud bang, and throw the chains up and bolt the doors shut.
"We're finished for today",
I help Sally with Paulie to get her on her feet. Brooke's already grabbing our bags and keys and she grabs the work car keys for us then we all make our way out of the factory. But the heat was even worse outside the car was so hot we turned up the AC in the car took awhile to cool up but it was already waking the passed out Paulie.

" Sorry guys. I didn't know how bad it was. you know I can't take the - "

"We know!" We all reminded her, mind you it was a really hot day today which wasn't normal, checked  my phone just to see if there was any weather updates.
Wow.
"Its fucking 34° degrees out there".

" what?, that can't be its never this hot, fucking global warming! " Brooke was the only one who could handle the heat, but this was a lot she reckons.

"Let's go to the beach then guys, and grab some ice cream and some water and everything cold at the same time."

"Yayyy!!" Everyone was happy.

I offered to do this for them, specially for Paulie because she out of all of us sucked when it came to the heat.
Nose bleeds then passing out, so no more work for today and it was only 1 in the afternoon. The sun was at its highest so off we went on search of iced goodies.

I kept wondering why it was getting hotter though, strange. Its never been that hot before.
