"That's everything we got from here, lets prepare for take off?".
Saldo, was always being nice when it came to these "preserving missions", he called it yet always sounded grumpy when talking.

"Chase, you and Bruce do the routine check with the items and report within the hour OK".

" Yes sir!", we both said at once because we knew he hated that.
And sure enough he growled at us, his stains glowing with his current emotions.

Stains, marks on our body's like rays of whips in glittered shiny metallic sky blue.
Mine ran across my arms and neck like snakes, crawling over my body, Bruce had his one on half his face but mostly around his chest and torso. One day we looked like average humans, then the next day these popped up on our body's, we were told it was normal, being here for so long was the cause of the stains.
This only happens with humans.

They always without fail reacted to our emotions, so being around the opposite sex would show deep blue colors. Attraction.
Whenever angry it glowed.  Kind of weird but we were use to it.

But lucky thing there was only a few of us humans on bored, about 5 to be exact.
Saldo was our commander and also the first to be on board, Bruce second in command was my best friend, Logan was in the engineering sector, Dave was into the kitchen area they two were taken almost the same time as us, and I, just the bum around guy waiting for someone's instruction to fire up our guns.
Which barely happened.

Everyone else was celestial beings, in other words Aliens.
We were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, me and Bruce were in a carriage off to one of the Balls of York shire when our world was about to change then we felt the whole thing floating up, just like that.

We awoke to a dome shaped room, white ceiling from top to bottom, everything looked so, out of this world, we had no idea what had happened there were two other men that were beside us in bunks. Logan and Dave. All the bunks were white soft and comfortable.
We all rose up, asking each other questions,
"where are we?"
" Who are you?"
"What has happened?"
That's how we all met.
Me and Bruce go way back, so it was comforting to have him here.

Then we were greeted by a being, so tall and skinny, skin clammy and grayish green. Two black big round ovals in its head, must be its eyes, and a slit below. We suspected it was its mouth. We couldn't understand, what it was trying to do. Was it communicating to us?
Then after a few seconds its eyes started flickering as if having a seizure of some sort. Then it spoke
"We come in peace",
We were too frightened to even move.

" I am Layat, we mean you no harm", it said with a weird finger gesture I've never seen before, the index and middle were together and separated from the other two.  Weird.

We learnt from him that we, as in humans, aren't suppose to be on any of the items that were picked up from earth. So this was pretty much an accident and the second time ever this had happened.

Second? Wait so we weren't the only ones here.
Just then that's when Saldo came in, tall guy, long white beard as well as his hair.

After that we were never the same, we learnt so much from these beings, they pick up things from everywhere they go, in the milky way around the universe, from plants to creatures of every kind to pieces of dirt to rocks, just for the better, to preserve their existence they said.

Each item was scanned and turned into liquid then its placed into this massive river just at the bottom of the ship just a big round pool in the center of plants and vegetation,

Ehywa, the life of all living things is kept in this river, and when needed to be taken out, one of the beings called Pere-tious or priestess, takes one of the items and places them out into space to travel through time to reach a destination.
It didn't make sense to us but we picked it up that the liquid would fall like raindrops giving the information it had to be created within it.
It was pretty sneaky but it was kinda genius. Thus creating the circle of life.
