Hunter & Julie

Scene 39

Hunter saw Julie trying to get into her car.

"Stop!" Hunter yelled at her.

"I told you to leave me alone, I don't want help, or your pit-"

Hunter pushed her against the car door. "I'm tired of you doing that!" Hunter so angry and hurt.

"Doing what?! " she yelled pushing his chest feeling the same anger he felt.

"I'm tired of you pushing every fucking body away, I fucking love you yet you treat me like a a dog, sometimes you want me then others its like you forget ever meeting me"

"I am a bomb Hunter! " she cried. "Everyone I love is in danger being close to me! You are, I don't hate my father! I love him so fucking much, but it is selfish to suffocate him in my life when I might not even survive."

"You know what!? You make it sound like you're so caring and shit but your just selfish!" Hunter barked slamming his fist against the car.

"How the fuck am I selfish, I'm doing this for you!"

"You don't understand! Fucking gosh! I don't care about me, I don't care if I drop dead right now! It's easy to say you'd die for someone, I'd shoot myself a million times for you. But you won't live for me"

Silence rang.

"Hunter I -"

"No! It fucking hurts Julie, it hurts to know that you don't understand how much I love you. You are my life! I'm not saying that to be charming or sweet. I fucking mean it"

Julie attempted to touch Hunter.

"No" he backed away. Julie forced him to look at her.

"Hunter, I doing this because I'm scared. You want me to live? Is that right? Well I want the same! I don't want you to be here if I die, I want you to have a life, to live "

Hunter and Julie were finally understanding the other's point.

"Julie, you can't die" his dark voice demanded. "I won't let you, I don't care what I have to do"

"And I won't let you ruin your life over me"

He looked deeply into her eyes.

She started to cry heavily and he grabbed her tightly holding her to his chest.

She cried and cried.

"What are we going to do?" She cried.

"I don't know but right now, you have to live"

Hunter fell asleep on Julie's lap. She loved him dearly more than she loved herself.

She put a pillow where her legs were and walked away from Hunter"

The nurses ran around for the night shift but there weren't many people around. She walked to her father's room.

There he laid with a sad face even as he slept as he had for ten years.

"I remember when you took me ice skating for the first time. And I was scared and you said 'we do this together princess', ha, you said 'I don't care if you fall, I'll help you soar through the ice'. I remember how scared and horrible I was.

I remember how fast you picked it up and in no time I was dead weight. But you stayed by me, you helped me.

And then I fell horrifically. Yes, I fractured my ankle but you broke your arm.

Don't you see, I'm a safety hazard and I'm trying to keep you safe!" She cried feeling the air getting thicker.

"Hunter and you think what is best for me is to live, hell, I thought it to, but like what I did, you, here, I know it is somehow my fault.
