Carli flew quickly, but made sure everyone else could keep up. They followed the red trail for a while, but Carli turned to the left when the trail continued straight. "Carli, wait!" Piper called. "Are you sure you're going the right way?". Carli flew up and down, then did a backflip. "Mal?" "Yup! She said that the blood wasn't from Glen, but a shot animal she had seen. She also said that she is following his scent." Mal explained. "Thank you Mal." Piper responded. "Let's go!" Gabby said, right behind Carli, who had started flying again. Carli led them out of the forest and into a meadow with rolling hills and colorful flowers dotted around it. They followed her on a windy cobblestone path that went on for a while, but then Carli plopped down on the ground. "Carli, is something wrong?" Gabby asked. Carli jumped up, layed down on the ground, and sat back up again. "She says that she is tired, and needs rest." Mal said to Piper. At the mention of the word rest, Piper felt exhausted. "Carli's right, we need some sleep." she told everyone. Gabby lied down and wrapped herself up in her wings and Mal turned into a dragon and did the same. Piper found a few dry twigs to set on fire, she piled them up, but instead of lighting them with her powers, she pulled flint and steel out of her backpack. After a few tries, the fire lit ablaze and she curled up in a ball inside it.
