- Ken's Point of View -

We waited for at least 20 minutes in the tech room, all the time staring down the barrels of two sawed off shot guns. Not the most friendly weapon, especially at close range. Those things could blow your head off your shoulders with one bullet. So we decided it was probably best to just co-operate with them, more for the sake of staying alive then anything else.

Although, at the moment I wasn't sure if I'd rather be killed trying to escape then surviving but living in a dungeon all my life...Do they still have dungeons?

"Phony is driving me nuts," Teg hissed.

"Phony?"

"That guy in the corner...I called him Phony."

"Why?"

"For the heck of it, why else would I?"

I shrugged and let the matter rest. It was pretty much impossible to argue with Teg.

"So how do you think they found us in the first place?" I asked her, changing the subject.

"That's what I've been trying to figure...And I found out why. That boy over there," Teg told me, nodding to a teenage boy about the same age as us.

"He was at the school when we had that show down. I have a feeling he was the one who tattled. Or was the one sent to eve's drop."

"They start em' that young?" I asked, feeling even more skeptical towards the human race.

"I guess so...But the question is, why would they want us in the first place?"

"Well I can answer that. They wanted you because you look exactly like the clones and like the rest of the T group."

"Yes but they certainly didn't clone me. I would've remembered that. Really, I'm only here because I happen to look like someone...Ever ask yourself 'why me'?" Teg said thoughtfully.

"All the time. Usually when your sisters blame me for something I didn't do."

Tegan chuckled a little and I had to smile. They certainly were a pair. I was just glad that I hadn't been around at Christmas time. That small house of theirs was jam-packed to bursting point, and with a bunch of wild Hickoks!

"Right, everybody off the floor!" Phony shouted, walking over to us.

All of us stood up and when I stole a glance at Thea she seemed creepily calm about everything.

"We don't want to keep you all here, but we can't let you leave until we find out which of you is the one we used for the cloning."

"You! You seem to be from a remote area," Phony said, pointing at Teg.

"Excuse me? Hoqui is not remote...It's exotic," Teg told him defensively.

"It doesn't matter. We have done lots of discussing and we have decided that you were the one we cloned."

"WHAT?" Both Teg and I shouted.

I saw Thea from the corner of my eye suddenly jump, looking nervous all of a sudden. Then a thought struck me.

"That's not possible," I told him.

"And why is that?"

"You said that the clone has virtually no fear except of the future and the past."

"So?"

"Ken, what are you doing?" Teg whispered.

"Just trust me...Teg can't be a clone. She has stage fright...Sorry Teg, I know I said I wouldn't tell."
