After yesterday, I decided to become Detective Ruby 'Badass' Ross. Well, maybe not Badass, but Detective Ruby 'Wanna-be Badass' Ross. I decided to call Kai's mother. Ring, Ring, Ring.

The person you a trying to reach cannot take calls at this time.

I threw my hands up in the air.

"Does this family not pay their damn phone bill?"

So, I took it upon myself to do some research.

After doing some searches on the name Brendon Boyd Urie, I saw some results of an address in Japan, but I highly doubted that was him.

However, why not snoop a little bit?

Brendon Boyd Urie
Family: Urie, deceased
Location: Unknown
Last Address: 5573 Tsunami Heights, Tokyo
Current Age: 18
Last Seen: Aged 16, Colesan Prison, during visiting hours.

I skimmed over the information. Words that stuck out the most were: Deceased, Unknown, Last Seen.

I searched for: Urie family death in Japan

As I scrolled through various articles, I found an article that talked about a man named Lee Tsung, who had sneaked into their home, stole some expensive belongings and killed 3 inhabitants of the home, the Mister, the Misses, and their daughter—everyone. Except for their thirteen year old son, Brendon Urie. Lee Tsung was found two days after, and was then taken to Colesan Prison, charged with breaking and entering, theft, and homicide.

"Who is this guy?" I exclaimed.

Had Brendon gone to visit the person who had killed his family?

I sat, on the edge of my bed, heart pounding. Brendon was a senior, 18. It could be him. After all, he was a new student. Who knows where he came from? As far as we know, to the people in Japan, he was missing, maybe even dead.

I need his current address. I just need to check if Kai is still at his place.

A minute of stalking Mia Clarence's Instagram, I noticed she had location services on for her posts. After a few more clicks, a map opened, showing where all pictures on her page were taken—including a selfie that was taken of her and Brendon, a familiar pool in the background, at the address of 6790 Mountain Edge Way. I chuckled to myself, gathering a pocket knife (you never know), Bobby pins (for picking locks of course, and again, you never know), my car keys, and finally, my phone.

"Gotcha."

I headed out of the house.
