***IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE AT THE END OF THIS CHAPTER ABOUT UPCOMING STORIES***

   Deep breaths, I told myself.

My clammy hands shook as I pulled them off the steering wheel, pulling in front of Brendon's house. I stared in awe at the huge house.

I got out of the car, and went up to Brendon's door, patting my pockets, making sure I still had my phone, and pocket knife.

I wasn't really planning on using it—hopefully I wouldn't have to. After all I was just asking if Kai was there.  I still had my doubts about Brendon being the same guy I looked up on the Internet.

I could still back out of this. But, this is Kai. My best friend. We're supposed to cuss each other out and go shopping when we're eighty.

A blew out a breath, and knocked on the door.

A few seconds passed. I heard a distant, "one second!"

   Then an ear-splitting scream.

The urge to leave grew in the pit of my stomach.

I heard some clutter from inside, metal clattering.

A few more seconds passed and Brendon opened the door, wearing glasses, a white shirt and apron, splattered with some red.

My eyes widened at the sight. "Hi Brendon, um, Is everything okay in there? I heard screaming? And your apron?" I said everything as a question.  I couldn't believe what was happening.

He looked down at his apron. "Oh, no! This isn't what you think. I'm cooking right now. Italian. You know how it is—lots of tomatoes," he said pointing to the red.

"And the screaming?" I chuckled nervously.

He gave a crooked smile. "I had horror movie on too—I love 'em. Even the cheesy ones. Want to come in?"

      I hesitated.

"Oh no, that's okay! I'll, um, take a raincheck. Is Kai here still? Haven't been able to find her."

He put his hands in his pockets. "Kai isn't here. She said she was heading home last night. You haven't talked to her?"

     Agh.

"No, like I said I haven't been able to find her."

As much as I'd didn't want to, it was time to snoop.

"However," I started, "can I actually take you back up on your invitation?"

His eyes lit up and he smiled.

   "Yeah, sure. Come on in."

*******IMPORTANT*******

I'm starting to write a new story that I'm very excited about. It's gonna be based around two characters: Noah Larson and Ivy Warrant.

  Here's the summary thingy:

Noah's been let down all his life. He's heard: "No offense, but..." Over and over again. EverNoah Fence. Artificial.

Except for Ivy, the realest person he's ever encountered. Other than his mom of course. However, her mother is quite the opposite. An LA native, Ivy moves away to a quiet town to get away from her drunk of a mother, just to meet her father, or rather a stranger who calls himself dad, again for the first time in years since he left.

Both of them were surrounded by surrounded by fake until they met each other.

OKAY SO PLEASE FOLLOW ME SO YOU CAN BE NOTIFIED WHEN I PUT OUT THIS STORY. ITS GONNA BE CALLED "Noah Fence" KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR IT. (it kinda sounds like a dumb story but it's gonna be good I promise)

EXPECT IT SOMETIME IN DECEMBER OR MAYBE SOONER.

I HOPE YOU HAD THANKSGIVING IF YOU CELEBRATE IT. AND IF YOU DONT, THEN STILL HAVE A GREAT DAY.  <3
