TO THE WINDOW, TO THE WINDOW
TO THE WALL, TO THE WALL
TO THE SWEAT DRIP DOWN MY BAL--
"Speaking of balls, how long ar-" Jack pops his head in my bathroom door.
I whipped my head around and drop my microphone (my shampoo bottle duh) to find Jack smirking. Bless Dad's soul for giving me one of those blurred doors. I picked up my fallen shampoo bottle, surprising that they never dent, and threw it at him but missed, making a mental note to work on my aiming. I wrapped the towel around me and ran out of the bathroom, chasing him as he flopped himself onto the bed and tumbled off before running out.
"Longer than yours, asshole!"
I rinsed the rest of the lather from my hair, wrapped myself with a towel and went into my bedroom. Picking out a pair of black skinny's, I couldn't find a shirt I liked to start off my new day at school. Berkeley High sounded posh and prestigious, well it kind of was for they were one of the highest-ranking schools besides Jacksonville. I don't give much thought to my outfit but it doesn't hurt to be comfortable and decent at the same time. Heck, I'm not impressing anyone, I thought and took out a jacket along with a red shirt. I run down to the living room, picking up my bag from the counter and stuffed my football into another bag for practice with some new kids I met the other day.
"Use a cup Alexei." says Dad, shaking his head at me drinking the orange juice straight from the bottle while he tries to figure out how to tie his tie. I cringed at my name because my parents didn't even go with the more modernized name of it which was Alexis but just went with Alexei despite it being traditionally a boy's name but who cares for sexist trends, name your kid whatever you want. I just wasn't used to it because it took me a while to get out of the phase of insecurity when the kids used to call me a boy. Who gets a bonus for androgynous looks? I do so boohoo to those kids.
I walked over to him and straightened it out for him before giving him a pat and running my fingers through his hair. "I'm a slob, but I live with two other slobs too. Plus, it didn't touch my mouth." I winked, terribly though because my skills at being flirtatious was as close as a rodent trying to woo it's mate in the cellars, at my Dad and he pecks my cheek. I wait for Jack to finish his breakfast and we exit out of the house, not forgetting to lock the gates.
About that, Jack's name and mine are totally different, you'll find out what they are later but my Dad's logic behind it was because 'Despite being twins, since one is a boy and the other is a girl, seems fitting to name you both startling and contrasting names.' Dad leaves in his Sedan while Jack and I cycled to school. I decided to leave my bag in the house and put the football in the basket instead with my backpack. Excuse you, but I don't want to cycle up with more weight, making it harder for me to go over the hill, my ass is heavy enough for that.
10 minutes later, we entered the school and head for the office and were both given a timetable and a locker number. Teenagers shuffling around the school corridors on their first day without any guidance? Great to know that the administrative staff were like robots, no offence to robots, that is. Jack went to some other corridor and since he was in a different stream, we weren't in any of each other's classes. We went different ways and it wasn't hard for me to find my locker.
