Ruruka's death was oddly enough never acknowledged by the survivors of the Final Killing Game. And also her death is pretty similar to Nagito Komaeda's in the Killing School Trip with repeatedly stabbing wounds on her legs and the position of her body.

There is a possibility that they found her body but we can't know for sure. And maybe they did that connection with Ruruka and Komaeda's deaths on purpose. My theory is because of Komaeda's involving with Seiko and Ruruka's argument.
