Bucant was met with an empty cell, door wide open.

"Agent 431 has yet to be found," C.C. said referring to his mother.

"There's been a breech in sector C." reported Blondie.

He raced to where he knew Angel would be. Once he reached the operating room, he swiped his id card. When nothing happened, he started banging on the door.

"Angel!" he roared.

An unmistakable gunshot could be heard from the other side of the door. He rammed his body into the door multiple times before it finally gave in.

Bucant absorbed the horrific scene before him.

Kay's body was limp and a single trickled from a hole in her head. There was a precise cut along her upturned wrist where he imagined Angel got the computer chip she was cleaning off with the fabric of her crisp white shirt.

"What have you done?" Bucant gasped. The sounds of Blondie and C.C. heaving came from behind him.

"Oh please, you were going to do the same thing. You're just upset that it was at an inconvenient time for you." She had proceeded to insert the chip into the super computer and an alien script took over the main screen.

He couldn't believe it, "That's- "

"Our Lady." she cut him off

The screen started flashing red with black letters reading "file sent".

"Our Lady wasn't an alien, but a file." He stated flabbergasted.

"Indeed. It contained the necessary formulas to travel though a black hole unharmed. This would have enable the humans to travel to different galaxies. They would have tried to colonize Earth-like planets and extort their natural resources."

"You say this as if you aren't human yourself." Bucant nervously chuckled.

Angel smiled.

"I've known you for twenty-five years!" he defended.

"Your wife died twenty years ago in childbirth and I took her place."

"What are you?" Bucant said sounding disgusted.

"Just a standard data AI sent to Earth to observe the rate the humans were killing their planet."

"Get backup" Bucant ordered talking to his sons. Blondie and C.C. rushed, stumbling over limbs with pale faces at their father's command. Bucant glanced at the discarded gun lying next to Kay's gray form then back to Angel.

"There's no point in that, Thomas." He threw himself to the ground and snatched up the abandoned gun. Bucant fired five shots, two in the heart and three in the head.

Still Angel stood blinking at him.

"Like I said, there's no point." Black oil gushed from the wounds and Bucant could see the wiring under her skin, but she showed no sign of pain.

How had I not known this demon wasn't my Angel?

He gave a crazed smile and started laughing hysterically. "We're all dead aren't we?"

"We can't allow the human race to survive any longer. A couple dozen decent sized meteors will be enough to wipe you out and then the Earth will finally be able to flourish again."

"You're a beast! A murderous beast!"

Angel raised a brow at the hypocrisy and tsked.

Bucant lifted the steel gun to his head and put his finger on the trigger.

"You'd abandon you're children in their final moments?" she questioned

"You don't care about children, monster!" He waved the gun in Kay's direction. "You killed Kay and she was no more than eighteen!"

"No, I didn't."

But Bucant did not hear her. He had already pulled the trigger.
