Kai's POV
~2 months later~
"Kai... Wake up."
I opened my eyes and looked at Cole, who had just pulled up to the monastery. I stretched a little, then winced as I remembered my chest and back weren't completely healed.
Cole smiled and helped me get to my room, then pulled the soft blankets up over me as I got comfortable in bed. I smiled and looked out the window, where grey light was entering.
Cole started to leave the room, but I didn't want him to leave.
"Don't go." I whispered, loud enough for him to hear.
Cole stopped and looked at me, then left the room. I sighed and closed my eyes, only to feel a pair of warm arms warp around me. I shivered as Cole spoke, his hot breath touching my neck.
"Is this where you wanted me?" He asked quietly, pulling me closer.
I nodded and turned over, laying my head on his chest, falling asleep to his soft heartbeat.
