I Love You... More Than Anything, But I Don't Know How to Tell You Yet

Kai's POV

I woke up to a soft hand brushing through my hair and smiled, looking up at none other than Cole.

"Hey there sleeping beauty." He joked, poking my cheek.

I chuckled slightly and yawned. "Wazzup?" I asked sleepily.

"Dinner is ready."

I nodded and tried to stand up, but couldn't manage to even sit up.

"Calm down Kai. Its not going anywhere." Cole said, picking me up and taking me downstairs.

Zane smiled as we came down. "Rest well Kai?" He asked.

I nodded simply, not willing to talk. I looked around and noticed a certain ninja was missing.

"Hey Zane?"

"Yes Kai?"

"Where's Lloyd?"

Zane looked uncomfortable, then shifted his weight and spoke, "He is in his room. He's very afraid and upset about you, Kai."

I nodded and asked Cole to take me to Lloyd's room.

Cole knocked for me, seeing as how I had my arms around Cole's neck so that I didn't fall.

"Who is it?" Lloyd's voice cracked as he spoke.

"Lloyd? It's me... Kai. Can I- er... We come in?"

I heard some shuffling and then Lloyd opened the door and smiled a bit. "Cute..." He muttered. "What's up?"

"I'm worried about you kid... What's wrong?"

He looked down. "Just... Scared. I was afraid you were going to die."

I hugged him quickly, to help him understand that I would be fine. "Let's go eat dinner."

He nodded.

I found myself laying in bed again, immobilized by Cole's arms holding me close to him. I smiled as his soft breaths ruffled my spiky hair and fought the urge to wake him up with a kiss.

"I love you Cole... I just don't know how to tell you yet..." I whispered before falling asleep in his arms.
