Ben sighed as he Listened to Mr. Miller talk about his class and the school year. He liked this guy so far, he seemed to have a pretty good sense of humor. ".....and, of course, we will be getting our gerbils as well, in March. Just something for you crazy kids to look forward to." He said, laughing.
Ben shot his head up. That's right! He thought. Roy told me about the gerbils! I'm also pretty sure we get fish too. Ben smirked. Maybe this whole fourth grade thing wouldn't turn out bad after all.
