The subtle click of keys echoed through the hallway. Twisting it in the lock, I pull on the cold handle and tug open the locker door. Finding nothing but books, I move on.

I unlock the next locker, pulling out a discarded hoodie and slipping it on over my shirt.

As I move on to the next door, the overwhelming scent of death floods my senses. My head jerks to the left. Clear. Right? Not so much.

Three corpses stumble into the hallway, their rotting eyes landing on me.

I rip the key out of the lock and race down the hallway, barricading myself in an empty room. My heart still racing, I pull myself together.

As I scanned the area, I find myself happily placed in the art room.

I walk over to the teachers desk, and pull at the drawer, glad for the over paranoid teacher. I grab her first aid kit and torch. My foot hits a pale backpack under the desk, and I reach down to employ it, storing the aforementioned items.

Peering out the door, I check for any remaining, well, remains. When the coast is clear, I make a bee line towards the cafeteria, slamming into the push entrance.

I search the kitchen, finding exactly what I needed. A knife, some canned foods, and several water bottles.

I sneak out of the lunchroom into the courtyard, avoiding the obvious dangers, and set out into the bright empty woods, unsure of what the future holds.
