You woke up with a groan sighing, today you had no school or work and you had done your homework already. You froze as you remembered what had happened last night. It wasn't real, it was a dream. It had to be a dream. You didn't really wake up in the middle of the night with the female personification of Germany, Monica. Right?
Sitting up you headed to the room, opening it you gasp seeing Monica is there. She is awake, sitting up and using her fingers to brush her short blond locks. That shocked you but also reminded you of something, she must not have a hairbrush. Or anything really. She fell asleep in her own bed and woke up in yours, no time to pack or plan. For the uptight German that must be a waking nightmare. Looking around the room you realized it was also pretty plain; beige carpet, white walls, a single bed, two nightstands, a dresser and the closet and window that had plain sand colored curtains. You couldn't imagine her being one to massively decorate a room preferring things that were functional, but surly some personality to the room wouldn't be a bad thing? If nothing else she needed basic needs like hygiene products and clothing.
"Gutgan morgen. (Good morning.)" She said as she noticed you snapping you out of your thoughts.
"Oh, good morning Monica." You greeted her blushing slightly at her catching you in a daze, "how'd you sleep?"
"I slept vell."
"That's good, listen, this room is pretty plain, no one ever really stayed here," you sighed at that and her bright blue eyes zeroing in on that sigh.
"I don't vant to impose, jou are already giving me a place to stay." She denied blushing lightly and you grinned slightly knowing that meant she was embarrassed and didn't know what to do or how to express herself.
"It's no problem, I have a lot saved up." You assured and seeing how that didn't seem to get her to budge decided to go for practicality. "Even so you'll need other things besides decorations; what about soap, shampoo, a hair brush, clothing, all that good stuff?" You asked her and she stopped seeing that you were right and agreed.
"Okay, but I still vant to pull my own veight." She said and you sighed.
"Monica, you do realize in this universe you don't exist? You have no papers to prove who you are." You tried to say that to her as gently as possible, honestly you were surprised she hadn't realized it herself yet.
"Jour right," she sighed but before you could try to comfort her she spoke up, "vell I'll earn my keep another vay then, I can cook, und clean, und take care of the house."
"Well thank you Monica, I don't have much to clean up, besides upkeep." You promised her, "either way we best go to the store and get everything, today is the only day of the week I'm off." You explained and she nodded and the two of you headed to your car and drove her to the store.
The first thing was Monica chose shampoo, conditioner, soap, razors, the works, clothing; shirts, pants, jacket, a hat, you blushed as she picked out her underwear. You happened to see a necklace that had a thunderbolt charm and smiled at it, something about it made you think of Monica. However she already had a necklace, she wore her Germanic cross necklace even to sleep. So instead you ask if they offered the charm as a bracelet which luckily they did in a nice silver bracelet.
You also picked up a German flag, and a picture of the German countryside that you found. With that you two went to pack in the car and headed home. You were surprised at how fun it was, you could never understand why people would like to shop. However shopping with Monica it was fun and you wonder if it'd be as fun if you had a friend to shop with. You pushed it out of your mind as you drove home.
Getting home you helped Monica put everything away, putting the hygine products in the guest bathroom and hung up the picture while Monica was hanging up and folding and putting away her clothing. By the time you were finished Monica was almost done so you helped her finish up and then the two of you pinned up the German flag. You then gave her the bracelet causing her to blush horribly as she accepted it.
"Okay there we go, I'll let you get a bit more settled, I'll make some lunch." You added walking to the kitchen but froze remembering something. "Oh! I almost forgot!" You pulled out your spare key you kept in your purse, it was in the pattern of the German flag. "Here you go, here's a key to the house."
I wasn't sure about this chapter, some parts I like and some I don't. I hope you guys like it.
