That Golden State Love- Klay Thompson Love Story

As summer winded down I got ready to go back to WSU for my last year. I had an amazing summer with Klay, Steph, and Ayesha. I can honestly say that Ayesha had become a sister to me and Steph a brother to me. Steph and I have become like two peas in a pod, we love to joke around. The Warriors family is amazing the guys on the team are really cool people. Steph's and Ayesha and are having a barbecue and they invited me, Klay, and our baby Rocco.

When we get to the the barbecue I feel the happy atmosphere.

"Malika!!" I hear Ayesha scream.

"Hey boo" I say hugging her and then giving her a kiss on her cheek.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in forever."

"Ayesha I saw you two days ago." I say with a small laugh.

"It still feels longer."

"Okay?" I say with a quizzical face.

"Anyways I want you to meet the Curry family."

She brings me over to a beautiful woman who looks not a day over 30, a handsome man, a pretty girl, and a cute boy.

"Guys this is Malika. Malika this is Steph's mother Sonya, his father Wardell, his brother Seth, and his sister Sydel."

"Hi." I say putting on a big smile. I went around to give everyone a handshake but I am pulled into hugs by everyone.

"We don't shake hands in this family. We're huggers." Steph's mother says while pulling me into a hug.

"Okay." I say chuckling.

"Hello Malika I'm Seth." He says winking at me.

"Hi Seth." I say giving him a confused a** face.

"How did you meet Ayesha?"

"I met her because my boyfriend play's on the same team as Steph. One day I went to a practice with my boyfriend and we were waiting for his teammates to show up and we started playing ball. After our quick game I went to sit on the bench and Ayesha came and sat down next to and started talking to me."

"Who's your boyfriend and you play ball?" Seth's asks me with a little hurt and interest in his voice.

"My boyfriend is Klay Thompson. Yeah, I play for Washington State like Klay used too."

"Where is Klay?" Ayesha ask.

"He's by the grill with Steph and Rocco."

"What position do you play?

"I'm a shooting guard."

"We should play against each other sometime."

"Okay. No problem."

"So Malika what's your story?" Sydel ask.

"Well I was born in Jamaica and when I was about 6 my parents moved us to New York after my mom had my little brother. I started playing ball at around 7 to fit in because I had a strong accent and people used to make fun of me for it. Then a old coach of mine told me I should stay with ball because he said it would take me places. And that's just what I did. When it came time for college I had offers from all over and I decided to pick WSU because I fell in love with the campus and the coaching staff. I've been playing with WSU for about 3 years and in 2 weeks I'll be starting my last year there. So yeah that's me."

"Why didn't you enter the draft? Because from what Steph's told me he said you're really good." Wardell Sr. said.

"I felt like I wanted to do something else with my future other than play ball and I promised my parents that I would graduate from college. They didn't want me to depend on just basketball because they know how injuries can end careers. When I graduate it won't be the end of my relationship with basketball. I still want to be involved in it. I want to coach a high school basketball team in my future."
