AMBER'S P.O.V

Fuck. Time for another miserable day in hell. I thought as the alarm went off. Hesitantly, I got up and shuffled to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and saw the same reflection that stared back at me for thirteen years. Brown medium length hair, brown eyes, tall-ish; same old me, what'd I expect? I splashed my face with the ice cold water and felt it drip down. Showered, brushed my teeth, put on the same old uniform I have been for the past year, the usual. I ate some breakfast, got in the car, what's new?

Today was nothing special. Or so I thought.

The day dragged on. I had to survive eight hours of pure torture. Pure torture in the form of my annoying ass classmates, horrible teachers, crap tons of school work and to top it all off, two more hours of soccer practice. The only source of fun I had were my best friends, Kristen and Rayn.

"So, you got a special boy yet?" Kirsten asked with a smile during lunch break. "Nah Kirsten, you know I'm not for that life." I said rolling my eyes. "Come on Amber, you're really pretty, a lot of guys would want to date you." Rayn said matter-of-factly. "Well first of all, I'm not pretty. Second, I'm not looking for a guy. I'm perfectly happy being single. Besides, no boy could possibly stand me, I'm an immaculate pain in the ass." I said with a laugh. "Oh just you wait" said Kirsten with a wink. The bell rang and we headed back upstairs.

I finally got home. Ate dinner, showered, did some impossible math homework and listened to some good music. "Creep" by Radiohead was playing, but was suddenly interrupted by a notification buzz from messenger. "Ugh, what is it this time?" I groaned aloud. I unlocked my phone and opened messenger. "Hello" was sent by Ryan Averly Oakley.

"Ryan Averly Oakley" I thought to myself "Isn't he one of those popular boys? I heard he just broke up with his ex... Eh, probably trying to get as many girls as possible, now that he's available. Sorry but no thanks." I said with a chuckle as I marked his message as "seen". I know those kinds of boys, they only got one thing on their minds. Especially this Ryan, I heard he's a heartbreaker. Psh I'm never falling for that again. I drifted off to sleep while Shawn Mendes played in the background.
