"Hey kids!" Phil opened the front door and Dee and Timmy both started to jump up and down excitedly. "Hello uncle Phil!" They both ran under his arm and I saw PJ step out of the living room "ah! Dee, Timmy! Your finally here! I need your help finding stars to fuel my light cannon!" I giggled at Dee and Timmy's enthusiasm "let's go!".

Phil let Dan and I inside and lead us into the living room where they had string lights hanging from the ceiling "Phil, we need to ask you a favour" Dan and I sat on the sofa next to each other and Phil sat in an arm chair across from us. "Sure guys! What do ya need?" I looked up at Dan and he nodded "do you mind taking care of the kids for a week or two?" Phil raised his eyebrows and his expression changed from light hearted to concerned.

"Sure, why?" Dan responded for me "we got a surprise visit from Herma this morning on our way to see you" god, just hearing her name gives me horrendous flashbacks. "Oh no, that's awful" after the way she treated me as a child and as a teenager why would she think I'd let her near my family?

"It's fine Phil, really, we just need to make sure the kids are safe at all costs" Phil nodded sympathetically "of course! Well don't you guys worry! PJ and I will make sure that they have the best time ever!" I smiled gratefully, Phil is such a kind person, I can always trust him to lend a helping hand.

"Hey kids! You're going to be staying with your uncles for a week!" Dan yelled, almost immediately we heard Dee, Timmy and PJ all yell "WOOHOO!" Phil, Dan and I all chuckled. "Thank you so much Phil" I couldn't express how grateful I was "no problem Y/N, what are friends for?".

Herma's POV-

"James! I saw Delia and Timothy!" I had just gotten back home, James and I only lived 30 minutes from Y/N so I managed to get back in time to cook supper. "Really?? You better not be joking woman!" I heard James rush down the stairs like a child on Christmas Day. "Of course I'm not! They are both such precious little things!".

James and I sat down in the living room and I began to describe both Delia and Timothy in detail to him. "Oh, they both sound wonderful!" He gushed "but what about that Daniel boy? Is he treating my little girl properly?" I nodded half heartedly "tell me the truth, Herma" I wiped a tear from under my eye and sighed "he's turned her against us".

"WHAT??" James slammed his fists on the coffee table, making it shudder. I was afraid of this, James always did have anger issues "calm down James" I snapped "what do you mean turned her against us??" I explained to him how defensive Y/N was despite the fact I had done nothing that would cause her to be upset.

"I WILL EVISCERATE THAT BOY!" James stood up abruptly and stormed out of the room "HOW DARE HE HAVE THE AUDACITY TO DO SUCH A THING!!" I followed him into the hall way and saw him put his hunting coat on. "Stay here Herma! I'm going to confront that beastly man!" I groaned in frustration and just let him go, I was far to tired and stressed to be dealing with him and his random fits.

I returned to the living room and heard him slam the door shut loudly, I rubbed my temples and tried to think of ways I could connect with my grand children without Y/N or Daniel trying to stop me. I was going to see those children, one way or another.
