Enemies (the sequel to best of both worlds)

Chapter 7

"Hello herma" Dan was making me speak to my mother on the phone about letting her see the kids "do you want to see the kids this week? You and James?" She started to sob "yes yes yes! Oh, thank you Y/N" it was weird, no one other than Dan and me are that excited to see the kids.

"Come round to ours at 12 pm tomorrow" I hung up, I didn't want to talk to that women for any longer than I had to "see? That wasn't too hard was it?" He smiled at me and I just stared at him blankly "yes, yes it was" I started to make myself some toast for comfort food.

"Well at least you've done the hard part" he rubbed my shoulders and kissed my neck, causing me to feel a warm sensation in the pit of my stomach. "I'll go pick up the kids" he trailed his hands down from my shoulders, over my waist and letting go of me when he reached my hips. "Ok, I'll get started on dinner, burgers ok?" He nodded, smiled at kissed me on the top of the head.

Hermas POV-

"James!! We're going to see the kids tomorrow!" I ran from the kitchen into the living room where James was sat reading his newspaper "at last! Y/N managed to snap out of that boys spell!" He put down his paper and started to laugh "my little girl isn't manipulated that easily".

Oh god. He's probably going to go on a massive rant now "Daniel thought he could.." I tried to tune out his rants and I kept thinking about the first thing I would say to the children. What would I do with them? Maybe they could tell me about school. Or maybe I could play with them.

James kept ranting for another 5 minutes before finally calming down "well, I'm going to pick out an appropriate outfit for tomorrow" of course he is, typical James always worried about his appearance. I couldn't wait until tomorrow.
