Chapter 20

Hello beloved readers! Ang tagal kong nawala at hindi nakapag- update and I ask for your forgiveness because of this. Ang busy lang siguro talaga the past few weeks kasi nais ko talagang tumaas ang grades ko kaya ginagawa ko ang lahat para dito.

Salamat nga pala sa lahat mga nag comment sa previous chapter. I swear, your comments keep me going guys. Mahal na mahal ko talaga kayo! Kayo ang nagsisilbing inspirasyon ko sa tuwing sumusulat ako. I write not only for my personal indulgence, but also to entertain and make my readers happy.

Shar's POV

Paggising ko noong sumunod na araw, agad nalantad sa mga tenga ko ang kawalan ng kahit anong tunog sa labas ng kwarto.

For the first time, I felt at peace in this place.

But no, it's not just because of the lack of noise around, but also because I knew that Jai and I were finally okay. Sure our fight didn't last long and admittedly it WAS quite petty, but it was completely agonizing to be away from him.

It's amazing how such a moment could put me in high spirits, and I took advantage of it.

First I got up and did my usual morning ritual of cleaning myself before heading off to get breakfast.

I examined myself one last time in the mirror, satisfied with my look. I had chosen to wear a plain white sweater with 3/4 sleeves tucked into a maroon skater skirt. I had finished off the outfit by pulling on a pair of plain white Keds and putting my hair in a high ponytail.

I headed down to a nearby cafe for a meal of waffles served with maple syrup and French butter and milk. 

Habang kumakain ako, nagtext si Jai.

Jairus: Saan ka?

Ako: Cafe across the street. Join me for breakfast?

Jairus: Already on my way. See you in 5 minutes!

Maya- maya pa ay dumating na yung matalik kong kaibigan at sinabayan akong kumain.

"Okay na ba ang lagay mo?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

"Oo naman! Wala nga akong madama eh! Superman mo kaya ako" Sagot niya sabay kindat sa akin.

"Excuse me ho, huwag masyadong feeler ha" Tukso ko sa kanya.

At ganun ang takbo ng kwento namin, parang walang nangyari. Tumatawa kami, nagtutuksuhan, at nagkukwentuhan gaya ng dati.

Bago tumugtog ang kantang Realize ni Colbie Caillat.

And that's when things got awkward. Tumingin ako kay Jai at nakita kong nakatingin din siya sa akin. 

Call me crazy but I think fate just pulled a trick on us.

Ugh. Ang tahimik niya. Ano ba ang pumapasok sa isip niya?

Alam niya bang gusto ko siya?

GUSTO NIYA BA AKO?

Oh di kaya... Umaasa lang ba talaga ako sa wala?

Bakit ba kasi ang simpleng pagkakaibigan...

Biglang nauwi sa pagtitinginan?

JAI'S POV

Sa wakas, nabawi ko na din ang aking nag- iisang Sharlene!

Pero aaminin ko, ang awkward ng lagay namin ngayon dahil sa kantang tumugtog sa cafe.

Langhiya naman. HAHAHAHA

So ano na to...?

Aaminin ko na ba sa kanya?

Nahahalataan na ba niya?

Kinakabahan ako sa kinalalabasan nito eh. Parang hindi ko pa kaya.
