Santa Claus’s Son is My Master?! WTF!!!

Recap:

Then everything blacked out. The last thing I saw was…what was it again? ...  my boss’s face… and strong arms that held me as I crashed to the floor.

“Sir, the force field is activated and the city didn’t receive much damage.” One of his elves came and reported the situation.

“Thank you. You may go back to your work.” Sammy answered.

“Yes,  sir.” The elf bowed before turning back and leaving the room.

Sammy’s attention went back to Forwon’s face. They’re back at Forwon’s room. After she fainted earlier, Big Man carried her back while Sammy took care of the situation. After things have settled down, Sammy rushed to her room leaving Big Man to wrap things up.

He sighed and his face crumpled with sadness.

He shouldn’t have said it. He shouldn’t have answered her. He should have known that those simple words dropped a big hint to her remembering the past. He should have known what would happen. But he ignored it and said it, anyway. He revealed his identity and made Forwon remember a bit of her lost memories.

Now look at the result. Forwon’s face is twisted with frustration and pain as she lies on her bed. She looked very uncomfortable like there’s someone squeezing her. Often times she would murmur about something she should remember and a face she have seen before. His hands covered his face and afterwards placed them on Forwon’s right hand, to calm her.

This is his entire fault.

There was a knock on the door.

“Come in.” He answered.

Big Man’s (or Julie) face appeared. He looks neutral as usual. But that’s just a façade. Sammy knows the situation between him and Forwon. He can already guess what he came here to ask.

“What is it, Julie?”

“Sam…” He started to say with sympathy.

“Stop that, will you? It’s not like the situation cannot be amended. She’s going to be fine.” His last words weren’t as clearly said as the first ones.

“What did you do?”

Sammy breathed in before saying, “I told her I’m Sammy Claus.”

Sammy may not be facing Big Man, but even behind those shades, he could see his eyes widening.

“You did what? Do you know how that could affect her?” Julie started to walk towards him.

“She asked for answers. I gave the answer to the simplest question.” Sammy was stroking Forwon’s hand.

“And by giving her that answer, you triggered the one memory that affects all the others!  You do realize the aftereffects of that, don’t you?” Julie was beside him.

“I know.”

Julie stopped talking. Sammy may not have recently seen the mirror, but he figured that he looks tired… and pained. And they both know the cause as they stare Forwon’s lying figure.

This is going to be hard. He didn’t scale the aftereffects would be this severe.

“Why didn’t you just wait? Her memories would have naturally come back even if you didn’t force it.” Julie stated.

“It was taking too long.”

“Some things are worth the wait, and I believe that’s she’s one of them.”

Sammy looked fiercely at him and said angrily, “Wait? I waited for six years! Six! The magic was supposed to wore off after two years. When I noticed it didn’t wore off yet, I decided to wait a little longer. I thought that maybe she would have it back eventually. But no! Even after four years, her memories didn’t come back. Not even a single one!”

Sammy breathed heavily. All the feelings he bottled up after those years of waiting are slowly starting to go out. And it was truly painful.

Julie looked neutral as ever as he looked at him. He looked back at Forwon.

“But it still wasn’t a reason to bring her here. You could have waited until this problem was solved.” Julie said calmly.

“I thought this issue was done a month ago. How was I supposed to know that the machine malfunctioned again?” Sammy stated crossly.

Julie and Sammy kept quiet for a while. Sammy is still furious at the situation. Forwon is in a troubled state while the city is in danger of getting flooded like Atlantis. He doesn’t on how to deal both conditions at the same time. And it’s taking out all his energy.

But there is one solution that could lessen his load. But Sammy is not doing it. No, he won’t.

Not if it means losing Forwon, the second time.
