"My English Rose, so small yet sharp, my English Rose, you're tearing me apart... you're tearing me apart..."

The sound was leaking out of his headphones.
And then, word by word, she was beginning to awaken as if she were sleeping beauty, pricked by a thorn.

"Where do I know that voice?" She thought, still with her eyes closed. "Where is that voice from?" She coughed, as her eyes fluttered open.

Suddenly it all came flooding back to her. His eyes, his glasses, his guitar, his smell, the library, the dormitory, the hospital, the funfair, the ferris wheel, the concert, the girl. The beach. The wave. The sirens. It all came in a rush of blood to her head.
"Jordan."

"Jordan!" She said again, louder. "Jordan!" She shouted this time, her heart monitor raising and her voice echoing down the corridor.
He was checking his phone when he heard it. An email labelled "Impressive work" from "D2R2 RECORDS". He ignored it, putting his phone in his pocket, turning around and sprinting all the way back to her ward.
"Rose! Rose! Oh my god!" He repeated as he was bolting back.
As Jordan entered the room and caught her eyes she immediately smiled with glee. "Jordan."
"Rose. I... I didn't think you'd ever wake up," he said, sitting down on the floor next her bed and taking her hand in both of his.
"You were in that coma for more than a month. I thought I'd lost you."
"How could you lose me? I'm really irritatingly clingy. Hehe." She replied, sweetly.
"I love you Rose. Don't ever do that to me again kay? Not nice. Oh and, Camilla said she's sorry. She's gone though. Forever this time."

Jordan sat on the end of the bed, cross-legged so he was facing the girl he had missed so deeply and as they pulled into an embrace he said, "Shit Rose. You had me scared back there you know."
She shifted away from him, looking down to the sheets, "I'm sorry Jordan. I..."
She trailed off as a singly salty tear rolled down her cheek.
"Hey, hey." Jordan said, tilting her face with one hand so there eyes met and using the thumb of the other to wipe away tears. "Don't cry. Please don't cry or I'll start." He laughed but soon he felt the tears welling up too. There was just too many emotions. They hugged again, Rose's hand on the back of Jordan's neck, pulling them even closer.
"I missed you." She whispered into his shoulder.
"I missed..." Jordan was cut off by a notification from his phone.

He glanced down to the screen which read:
