Chapter 2: Following

River's POV
"Hi, gals!" My mom said as she walked in the house and we were in our pj's on the couch eating popcorn and watching The Walking Dead, well we all read y watched each episode but I guess we wanted to watch it again.

"I have news!" She yelled after setting her bags on the floors by the door.

"What's the news?" Ryan asked looking at me like I had something on my face.

"Well, I caught up with some old friend and found out that grandma Maddie leaves up the hill. And that tomorrow she is has a bar- b- que and I thought that maybe we surprise her."

"Mom don't you think she is a little to elder aka old for us to just pop up somewhere without telling her. She might pop up and have a heart attack." Silver said all dramatically.

"Well, I for one can't wait to see grandma I missed her so much." I replied.

"Okay its tomorrow at 3:00. After school. I will be here....its gonna be amazing!" Mom ran up stairs happy as she can be.

"Wow, if nanna dies. I'm blame you and mom." Silver said walking into the kitchen.

"I think moving here was a good idea." Ryan says laying her head on my shoulders.

"Me too." I say simply.

Waking up the next day I felt weak. Like someone had drained all of my energy out of my body. Today I let Silver drive us to school because I wasn't feeling like me today.

First period and second period went by so fast. I am in lunch now and its nice to know that I have this lunch with Ryan and Elizabeth.

"I am loving you outfit today, River." Elizabeth said as she sat down beside me. I was just wearing a pair of high waisted shorts, a white crop top and a blue and white cardigan.

"Thanks? I just throw this on." I tell her and she smiles then looked way to a group of about six people who was walking our way.

"Oh, River I want you too meet some people. " she stood up and waited for them to get to the table. "Guys, this is River- Rose but you can call her River and her sister Silver and her best friend Ryan. River and Ryan these are my beat friends. Jordan, Grayson, Matthew, Lucas, Sage, and Bentley. "

"Hi." I say waving and they waved back as the all started to sit down.

"So what grade are you guys in?" The Bentley guy asked us. He had a hazel eyes and a small grin on his face. Which was pretty adorable.

"I'm a senior." I responded

"Junior." Silver replied

"Senior." Ryan said "And you guys?"

"Well, I am a senior and My name is Bentley if you were confused. And this is my cousins Sage and Lucas." He said pointing to the girl who was on his right and the boy who was sitting by her. He was staring at me. Like I was a piece of meat of something.

When he saw me looking at me he looked away towards his sister. The whole time they we're sitting there talking about a party that was happening going own for the town and was for the birthday party for the oldest person in town of something.

"Who is it for?"

"Miss M. she is literally like everyone's grandma." Sage said looking up at the ceiling.

Then the bell rings sounding for us to go to last period class. I walk out of the cafeteria and up the stairs that were right outside of the like Brooklyn instructed me to do. When I reached the top of the stairs, I started down the hall to room 210. Mrs. Hamilton. She the chemistry teacher.
