Andy's POV:
"Look Roe. I've liked you ever since you were younger. Not a 5th grader of corse but ever since you were in 9th grade. I know that's kinda creepy and it might not seem right but I couldn't help myself. In my mind  when you were in 8th grade, you were just a kid. A little girl with a cute face but I never actually got to know you. Then freshman year hit and you were...were amazing. Gorgeous and I noticed how sweet you could be and how you were honestly perfect. And as you've grown up, each year you become more wonderful and more mature and in my mind you are the perfect one for me. I will wait for you, I will wait until you are ready. I love you Rosalina Catherine Cortez." I pull out the beautiful Rose gold heart ring.

"WOAH WOAH WOAH WHAT IS THAT?!!" Amber yells.

"Don't freak out Amber. It's just a promise ring. Tonight I'm going to ask Roe to wear this and this ring will bond us, until we can get married and wear wedding rings. It's kinda like an engagement ring, except she's only a high schooler and I don't want to ask her yet. We need to date for way longer than just a few months."

"I gotcha. It's a pretty big step though isn't it...?" She asks me with a worried expression, even though she's trying to hide it.

"Well yeah, but I feel like we can do this. We both love one another so why not make it official?" I say getting a little mad at Ambers attitude towards my ring.

"That's true. It's just...are you sure you want to do this? Will she be okay with it?" She questions, fiddling with her fingers.

"I hope she will be. What's up amber? You've been acting weird ever since I pulled out the ring. Is something wrong?" I ask her looking down at the ring, thinking that this may be a bad idea.

"No! No! You're fine. It's just...nothing. Never mind. It's just kinda weird for me to think about cause ya know. She's my best friend." She says letting out a small laugh.

"Okay..." I say cautiously, putting the ring into the black velvet box.

"Anyway, you need to not be so tense." She states getting back into the subject of the ring.

"Ugh I know!I'm just so nervous! Tonight is our night. We haven't had a date in a while and with everything that has happened with Ryan and our warming from Nick. We just need time together. It's her senior year and I want her to have the best year ever. Even if it doesn't involve me.." I sigh and amber perks up.

"What do you mean by that?" She asks with eyes wide open.

"Well...it's just we've been kinda drifting apart, and she seems to be having so much fun with her friends and that new guy Luke-"

"Lucas" amber corrects me.

"Lucas." I grunt. "Anyway! She's just been distant lately and I want her to have the best senior year and honestly she's been so overwhelmed lately. And I feel like it may be caused by our relationship....what if she's having second thoughts on dating me Amber! God! What if tonight she breaks up with me for him! What if I pull out my ring and make a total fool out of myself?" I sigh and run my hands through my hair.

"Hey hey hey." Amber runs over to me, embracing me in a hug.
"It's gonna be okay. Okay? Don't worry." She says soothing me, just like how mom use to.

"Thanks. Ya know. You remind me a lot of mom." I say pinching her cheek.

"Wow thanks I'm old." She laughs and I join her.

"Alright well I'm gonna go find something to do tonight while you're on your date with Roe." She says and walks out of my room.

"And hey." She stops by the door.
"Don't freak out. Just take a deep breath before, and say it through your love for her. Everything will be okay." She smiles and leaves.
