(Santana's Pov)
'Beep.......beep..........beep'
I wake up to the sound of machines and I blink a few times to re-adjust my eyes. I try to sit up only to gasp in pain. I look around to see the gang outside pacing while lily is in the room watching her shoes and looks up at a heart broke brittany. She look like she's here but she's not. I watch as lily looks up and smiles at me before hitting Brittany. She looks at her as she walks out and points to me. She turns to spot me and she smiles with tears in her eyes.
"Hey" I say quietly and she smiles.
"Hey, you" I say and she sighs.
"I was scared you weren't going to make it. You've been out for two days" she says quietly and I smile at her concern.
"You didn't miss any school becuase of me, did you" I say and she smiles.
"How do you feel" she asks, completely ignoring my question and I sigh.
"I've been better" I say and she nods as lily whispers something in her ear and walks out.
"They have been here since yesturday. Majority of them are exhausted and hungry and tired. Lily told them that you were awake. They said they would go get rest while your adjusting and then come back later tonight. The doctor said you have to stay one more night before you can leave" she says as I watch her and she looks beyond exhuasted. She looks as of she hasn't slept in days and on top of that, she just looks beyond worried. I hang my head down, looking at my fingers as I speak.
"I'm sorry that I screamed at you like that. In the heat of the moment I just........."
"I don't blame you santana. Sometimes I forget just how much stuff you have to and had overcame in these past 18 years. I'm sorry if I ever made you feel anything less" she says with her voice cracking.
I'm about to speak when the nurse comes in and she cuts me off with a huge smile.
"Hey gorgeous. I'm glad to see your awake. You have been in an induce coma for the past 2 days and I was worried about you. Can't have a pretty thing like you in the gave already, I mean I didn't even get to take you out yet" she says with a smirk but I'm stuck on brittany looking at her as if the nurse was my step father herself.
"I'm going to check your vitals" she says and grabs my arm gently as brittany just watches her and I got to admit......her jealous is pretty hot.
"If they're is any and I mean anything I can get you, just give me a ring" she says biting her lip.
"Bye" I hear growled and she finally notices brittany.
"Don't worry love, you can join too" she says swaying her hips as she walks out and I watch brittany scoff.
"Brittany.......your still here" the doctor says as he enters and she nods as she keeps quiet and to herself.
"One loyal girlfriend you got there. The others went home to get some rest and I thought you had joined them. Anywho, I checked everything and you are one tough cookie. You took several blows with a whip to the back, however there's no scarring. You took blows to the stomach with a bat and have mild bruising. Your legs are blue and black from the rope he hit you with, but that's about all. Also the carviture, it will be the only thing permanent. Thank goodness you didn't arrive any earlier or you would be dead. Now they want me to hold you for atleast a week but seeing you have someone to care for you, you'll be able to go home tomorrow" he says and I see Brittany in her own world as he walks out.
"Britt.........."
"Dont" she says but looks upset. She stands up and walk towards me. I move over for her to sit on the bed and now that she is up close, life looks like it has tooken a number on her but she's still beautiful like always.
