One Shot - A Parents Love

   Evan returned home and went to the front door and knocked, as he always did.  No one answered. He knocked louder. "I wonder where Izela is? She always answers the door," he thought to himself. Still no answer.  He used the force to unlock the door and walked inside.  "Izela?" he called. She didn't answer.  Evan used the force to search for Izela in the house.   She was not there. 'Where is she?'  He thought. Using the force to search the farm, he sensed her in the barn. "Why in the barn? She rarely goes out there."  He quickly went to the barn to check on her.

   Evan opened the barn door and saw Izela beaten and whipped, tied to a pole.  He rushed over to her and began to untie her while Izela groaned in pain. "Easy. I got you," Evan worried,  anger in his eyes.  He untied her and held her gently, taking her inside the house. Izela held onto Evan's shirt tightly, not ever wanting to let go.  Evan gently laid her on the couch and used the force to heal the slashes on her.  Izela slowly opened her eyes.  "Hey baby," Evan said with a small smile.

   Izela looked at him and smiled, then looked around. "Where's Sabrina?"  Evan used the force and didn't sense her. "She's not on the farm," he whispered, worried.  Izela stared at him as tears fell down her cheeks.  Evan wrapped his arms around her and held her close. Izela couldn't do anything at that moment. She just leaned against Evan, staring at nothing as tears streamed down her cheeks.

   "Izela? Do you know who has Sabrina?" Evan asked after a moment.  It took a long moment, but Izela finally whispered, "Pirates."  "We will find her," Evan comforted.

   Izela pulled away and got up off the couch and went to Sabrina's room. She sat down in the chair and looked around. Evan followed her silently and stood at the door. "I will find her," he promised himself.  Izela looked at every detail, then sa w something that wasn't supposed to be there.  Evan followed her gaze and saw it, as he stepped into the room.  It was a small metal disk.  Izela stood up and walked up to it.  Evan stepped next to Izela and used the force to pick up the disk. When he picked the disk up, it started to beep; then a man appeared above the disk.  "I was wondering when you would find my disk," the man chuckled darkly.  Evan already had his mask on.

   "What have you done with Sabrina?" Izela demanded, moving a bit closer.  "She's fine. She's right here actually," the man said then another pirate stepped into the picture holding Sabrina. Izela looked at Sabrina who was sleeping peacefully.  "Return her now," Evan growled.  The pirate leader shook his head. "I can't do that."   "What do you want?" Evan asked lowly as he glared at him under his mask. The pirate smirked.  "I want to see you without your mask," he cooded. "That's it?" Evan asked, a bit surprised.  "No. You will find out my other demands later," He said then looked at Izela. "Do you want you to come and take care of the baby?"   Izela turned her attention back to the man and said, "I will come." Evan was about to protest but kept quiet. The man smirked and nodded.  "A ship will be there soon to pick you up. You both can come. If you try anything to the ship or crew, she gets it," he growled gesturing to Sabrina.  Izela nodded and the transmission ended.  

   She turned and hugged Evan tightly. "We will get Sabrina back. I promise," he said then kissed Izela on the forehead. She sighed and nodded, then let go as she began to gather some things up. She placed them in a bag, heading downstairs.  Evan followed her. "You should relax."  Izela froze as she slowly turned to face him. "I can't relax. Our baby girl is with pirates and you're telling me to relax?!" she shouted, getting upset. Evan walks up to her and takes his mask off, looking her in the eyes. "Sabrina will come home with us soon. I will make sure of that,"he whispered then kissed her. Izela was a bit surprised but kissed him back, wrapping her arms around him and Evan did the same.

   Suddenly, the sound of a ship landing near the house pulled them out of the kiss.  Izela grabbed the bag and Evan put his mask on.  They walked outside and saw the pirates ship and walked towards it. Just before they  climbed the ramp, a pirate stopped them and growled, "Your lightsabers." Izela handed him her lightsaber but Evan walked past the pirate, not giving him his lightsabers. The pirate frowned and walked after him, grabbing Evan's arm. "Your lightsabers," he growled roughly.  Evan turned to faces the pirate. "You can take my lightsabers or hers. Not both," he stated calmly. The pirate glared at him and handed him Izela's lightsaber. Evan gave the pirate two lightsabers, keeping the other two hidden.  He then walked up to Izela. "Don't give this up," he said, handing her lightsaber back. Izela nodded, then sat down in a nearby seat with Evan next to her.

   The ship took off smoothly. "We will arrive in an hour," a pirate said to some others, loud enough for Izela and Evan to hear.  Izela stared at the floor, holding the bag on her lap tightly.  Evan looked over at Izela, seeing how tired she was. "She needs a place to rest," he thought then got up and walked over to the pirates. "Is there a room we could use?" he asked. The pirates looked at him for a minute then one pointed to a door. Evan just turned and walked back to Izela. He touched her shoulder, which made her jump some. She looked up and Evan said, "Let's go to a room." Izela nodded and stood up as Evan led her to the room. Inside there were two bunks, a chair and small table.  Izela looked around for a second, then sat on one of the bunks with Evan next to her, he said, "You should rest."  Izela nodded, set the bag down, and leaned against Evan.  She closes her eyes and quickly started to doze.  Evan gently laid her down on the bed, then moved to the chair and watched her while she slept peacefully.

   After awhile, the door opened and a pirate walked in. "We are about to land and Victus wants to see you," he said, sounding annoyed and Evan nodded. The left and Evan got up and walked over to Izela. He placed a hand on her shoulder and she jerked awake. Izela looked at Evan and relaxed some. "We will be landing soon," he said. Izela nodded and sat up then they felt the ship land. Izela grabbed the bag, stood up and left the room, Evan close behind. "This way," a pirate told them.  They follow the pirate off the ship and towards a building at the center of their base.  Other pirates stopped what they were doing and looked at Evan and Izela, some smirking when they saw Izela. Some even whistled. She kept her gaze down, gripping the bag handle tightly as (1100) Evan looked around from under the mask. They reached the building and walked in. Inside was a bar/dining room, which was packed full.  The pirate led them to the center of the room where Victus lounged.
