30 minutes earlier

I was breathing hard in my car seat. I looked down at my stomach and saw bruises and blood. Lots of blood. I groaned as tears started to form in my eyes. I could hear the music blasting inside the house.

This was a mistake. The worst mistake ever.

Jake and his friends...

I quickly grabbed my phone and looked through my contacts.

Julie.

I slammed my finger on the call button. I put my phone to my ear and bit my lip waiting.

"Hello?" A confused voice answered.

"H- hey..." I managed. I ran my hand through my hair and took a deep breath.

"A... Archer? You shouldn't be calling me-" She started. "- Who is that?" A new voice interrupted. Jake.

"J- Julie. Am I a mistake? I mean... A... I don't know..." I sniffed.

"Huh? Wait." I heard some talking in the background and I didn't hear Jake anymore. "What do you mean?" She continued.

"Was I not supposed to be here? Like I was supposed to not be... Here... I..." Tears fell going down my face and I quickly wiped them away. "I... Nevermind. I shouldn't be calling you." Just as I was about to hit the end call button I heard her voice.

"Wait! Archer! What are you doing? Where are you? Are you okay?" She sounded worried.

"I am... Calling you... And... I am n- not okay. I'm... Going to... D..." I said finding the right word.

"Oh my god..." She said. "Where are you?! What's your location?!"

"I can't tell you," I answered. "I- I-"

"Tell me! I don't want you to do something stupid!" She said.

"S- stop yelling..."

"I... Sorry. What are you about to do?"

"Visit my family..."

"This late?"

"..."

"Oh god... Archer, I am so sorry. I-"

"Save it. You were right. It was a mistake calling you. Everything. Going to school was mistake. Making friends was a mistake. Going to the stupid party was a mistake... Living was- is a mistake."

"Oh my... Archer! Where are you! Wait. Scratch that! Come to my house!" She ordered. I shook my head, but realized she could not see me.

"No, I am going to visit my parents and... End this."

"Wait! No, Arche-"

I hung up and threw my phone onto the street.
