Irish Charm

Chapter 2

After school, I went back to the apartment my family is renting until we can find a house. I walked in and saw roses sitting on the table. My immediate thought was, whose anniversary did I forget? But just as I sat my bags down, I heard my mom coming into the room.

"Katie, someone sent you roses." My mom said.

I walked over to see what the note attached to the roses said.

"Katie, meet me in the school parking lot at 7. xx -Niall" I began blushing. The first thought that came to my mind is what to wear. I quickly ran to the room I shared with my older sister and saw clothes scattered everywhere. I grabbed a short blue dress that belonged to my sister and some blue converse, curled my hair, re-did my make up, and checked the time. It was 7:00 exactly by the time I reached the school. I parked the car and sat waiting for Niall. Just a soon as I turned my car off, I saw Niall pulling up. He jumped out of his car, and ran over and opened my car door for me.

"Hey. Katie." Niall said helping me out of the car

"Thank you for the roses, that was sweet." I said blushing, while looking at Niall.

"It's the least I could do." Niall said.

"So... What are we doing here?" I questioned Niall.

"Come with me." Niall said grabbing my hand and guiding me to his car.

"Niall... Where are we going?" I asked Niall.

"Just trust me." Niall said opening the the passenger door of his car for me to get in.

As soon as Niall shut my door, and got in the drivers seat he started the car and we drove away.

"What's your favorite type of music?" Niall asked flipping through the radio stations.

"Ahhh. Here we go." Niall said stopping on an opera channel . I laughed, as Niall began singing opera.

After several minutes of Niall singing opera and begging me to join him, we pulled up to something called a pub.

"So I hear the beer in America is pretty weak." Niall winked at me.

"I can't drink, Niall." I said ashamed.

"Why?" Niall asked me.

"I'm sorry I just can't." I said looking into Niall's eyes.

"It's okay love. Have you ever played lazer tag?" Niall asked changing the subject.

"Yeah and I'm pretty good." I replied.

"Your on!" Niall said, starting the car. We drove a few miles down the road until we pulled up to the lazer tag arcade. We both jumped out of the car and ran into the arcade. We grabbed our lazer tag guns, and vests an walked into the dark room.

"After you love," Niall said opening the door for me. The time started, and Niall ran one way and I ran the other. I was hiding behind a giant wall, hoping Niall wouldn't see me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Niall run by. I tried to shoot at him, but missed. Niall saw me and was aiming at me, so I ran to a different wall, thinking Niall didn't see me. I was wrong, Niall came up behind me and shot me.

"I'm sorry Katie, but I had too." Niall said looking all sad.

"Here you can shoot me." Niall said dropping his hands and putting his hands in the air.

"I'm not going to shoot you, but you can come hug me." I said looking at Niall. Niall fell for it too, because as he was walking towards me. I shot him. Niall was really shocked for a minute and then he started laughing.

"So I don't get a hug?" Niall asked. I ran to him and hugged him. He held me for several minutes, as he pulled away, he leaned in to kiss me.

I quickly pulled away. Niall looked shocked.

"What's the matter love?" Niall asked disappointed.

"I'm sorry... I just.... Well see... I.... Umm..." I was stuttering, trying to find the right words to say.

Niall kissed me and I'm not gonna lie, I kissed him back. I guess that was his way of telling me to stop talking, but it worked. After a minute Niall pulled away with a smile.

"Do you have a curfew?" Niall asked me still smiling.

"Yeah, I have to be home by 10:00." I said checking my phone, it was 9:30.

"Well then we better get you back to your car." We got in Niall's car and drive back to the school parking lot. As soon as we got there Niall opened my door and walked me to my car, he kissed me on the cheek.

"It's really dark out, so I'm going to follow you home. That way I know you get home safely." Niall said opening the driver door of my car.

As soon as we got to my apartment building he walked me up to my room.

"Thank you for everything, Niall." I said.

"Your welcome." Niall said smiling.

"Goodnight beautiful, I will see you tomorrow at school." Niall kissed me on the cheek and walked back to his car.

I opened the door to our apartment with a huge smile on my face, only to my sister Devon standing behind the door with her arms crossed.

"Well, well, well, who was that?" Devon questioned me.

"Niall, this guy from my school." I said, I couldn't quit smiling.

"Thought we had an agreement, he better have a hot older brother!" Devon teased me.
