[TSP] The Solo Player

Chapter 1

I sit here now lonelier than ever after a long time battling with cancer my grandmother finally passed this morning. I've lived with her since I was 5 my parents died in a car wreck so she took me in and gave me everything I could ever ask for but now I have no one and to be honest I don't want anyone to be around either, relationships always end in pain. The less you know about people the less you get attached.

The only way I can get away from this terrible reality is video games, the newest mind soft game comes out today so I am going to the nearest game shop to buy it. After exiting the shop I nearly run into a girl. She was short with beautiful red fire hair. To bad I'm the kind of person that no person could come to love. I return home and update the hardware so that I can finally play my new game. They game requires you to lie down and be transported into the game.

I wake up in some sort of hub it begins to give me instructions on making my avatar and my name so of course I make my avatar with grey hair that hangs down over my eyes. I take my two names and merge them to create the name Tatsuo. Before I know it an orb appears.

"Hello master Tatsuo my name is Yuri," The orb says.

"Umm hello," I say more confused.

"Listen Tatsuo its time for you to calibrate the game,"

After calibrating process is over I am transported to another new looking hub. Above the castle it says Andrade. That's also the name of the game so I guess that the spawn is also called Andrade. This game is an open world mmo rpg type game you have an unlimited amount of space you can travel and dungeons you can explore you can even meet more people.

"Hey Bro you just arrived here," The random guy says.

"Yeah but I've seen how its played so thanks any ways," I say to the random guy trying to stay away from him.

"Well my name is," He tries to say before I stop him with just a hand up

"Okay bro I'm off," I yell back at him

I walk off ignoring the guy cause to be honest I really didn't care about what he had to say I want to be a solo player I don't want to join a party. I just want to be alone for a bit. I go by the blacksmith shop to buy a sword and a shield.

"There you are!" The random guy yells.

I thought I got away from this guy.

"Yes I am here," I reply to the man hardly caring about this guy

"Well anyway I am your new friend Takeo," He says although its completely against what I want.

"That's okay I don't want friends," I reply harshly.

"Well you've got a friend," He tries to remind me.

Jesus Christ I told this guy already I don't want any friends maybe if I walk away he'll get the idea.

I walk off although I seem to be very rude it doesn't affect Takeo he follows me as if we had joined a party together. Every player gets 100 shillings to start off but after that you have to make your own currency. I begin to look for jobs for more shillings. Suddenly I see if a wanted poster dead 1500 shillings, and if alive 2500 shillings. I decided what I want to do although the guy is a level 50 and I'm only a level 3.

"Hey you're not looking to go after this guy," Takeo says with what seems like he actually cares.

"Why not its not like there is a reason not to," I reply with a bit of anger.

"Well I'm going its not like death is something that really happens in this game," I basically yell at him.

I go over to the stables to get an armored horse and I take my leave. Several hours of riding pass until I finally arrive at the player's last known location, I'm sure there is a way of tracking the wanted player. After searching for a bit I find an old run down cabin that is really old and the roof is falling in a bit, although it doesn't look like much I feel like we should still check it out.

"Hey Tatsuo, why do you have so much confidence that you can kill this player?" Takeo asks.

"Well He is only as strong as our minds allow him to be," I reply although I don't care for the conversation.

I walk through the entrance of the worn cabin. The smell of blood and mold fill the air as soon as I walk into the first room. The floor creeks as I step ever so gently its as if I were walking over a bed of nails, in order not to make a sound because darkness is the eyes worst enemy. I hear something in the far side of the room and immediately I stop. Suddenly the beast is attacking me I feel a sharp pain in my arm right before a warm substance begins to flow from the gaping wound. The beast goes to attack once more but before he reaches me he falls limp to the ground because Takeo's spear has penetrated the beast's lungs and heart.

"You should never go into the dark!" He yells at me

"Okay back off," I yell back

"The game provides you with a head lamp! You idiot," He now yells back

I switch my head lamp on to find several bodies laying around some more torn than others, I look down to find that I'm standing in side of a rotten corpse's stomach and suddenly the smell becomes more pungent its enough to make me gag.

"Lets get out of here," I try to say calmly through the gags.

"Okay I agree," Takeo doesn't take anytime to exit the room.

As I exit I find that while we had been searching the room a small army had snared us by forming a circle around the cabin.

"The only way you are going to leave here is if you kill all of us," The man on the midnight black horse says.

As I look at the man it becomes clear to me that the man we had been hunting had just found us.
