[TSP] The Solo Player

Chapter 3

            Although you can buy food in game it doesn't replenish your hunger in real life, so the game alerts you when you need to log out and eat. I log out for the first time in what has felt like ages and I order a pizza. The Pizza will take a little while to arrive so I take a shower and get new clothes so I don't stink. Suddenly the doorbell rings.

Who could that be? The pizza isn't supposed to be here for another 20 min.

I go to open the door still wondering who it could be. I open the door to find a very unpleasant surprise.

"Brother!!!" A strange girl yells as soon as the door opens.

" Um, brother?" I question

Some random girl has just shown up at my home where I lived with my grandmother for sometime alone. I don't remember my parents having a girl before they were brutally murdered.

"Yes, I am your little sister!" The strange girl still yells.

" How is that possible my parents died when I was at a very young age," I reply sincerely wondering.

"Our parents died when I was three I was away with our aunt and uncle," she replies all though I still cant remember her.

"Um so yeah can I stay here with you cause I only have another money for a small bowl of ramen," she asks desperately.

"I suppose," I reply although I'm still not sure I can trust her.

The pizza arrives after a little while after the pizza I want to return to the game although I'm not sure if I trust this random person who claims to be my little sister. I show the girl to a room where she can stay, she brings her luggage into the room.

"I hope you enjoyed the pizza now I have to go do some stuff in my room so make yourself at home don't steal my stuff and leave please," I tell her half joking and half being serious.

"Um oh ok," She replies sincerely.

Finally I can return to my world where I don't have to worry about anything although now I have some random girl in my home who could come into my room and kill me. Did I lock my door I should have that would have been a good idea?

I wake up lying in the little field where I logged off. I check my messages.

"Hey Tatsuo.. I know you logged off after we got done with the mission, but if you join back in time I am going to hang out with some friends if you want to come," the message from Takeo says.

I don't have time to go hang out with some "friends" at this time. Andrade has 100 floors, which are basically levels we have to unlock by defeating bosses in each dungeon.

"Hi," I barely hear though my thoughts.

"Oh hey," I reply to the girl

"My name is Sky," she says with a smile

I can tell she hasn't been playing long because she has no real armor on all she is wearing is leather armor.

"Is that your real name or your avatar name?" I ask

"Oh should I have chosen a different name for my avatar?" She asks.

Well this girl is a new player to all games. I might as well help her but only if she asks.

"Well maybe not just don't let people know your true name," I tell her.

"Oh ok," she says as we walk toward the pub.

We walk into the pub and sit down in a booth.

"So what is it that you came here to do?" I ask

"I want to get away from my parents," Sky replies

"I don't have a problem with my parents they died in a wreck when I was eight and I just met my little sister," I tell her trying to make her understand that she is lucky to have a family that cares enough to be there for her.

Suddenly I am ejected from the game mid conversation. When I wake up in real life the girl that had arrived earlier was standing over me.

"What are you doing?" She asks.

"I was in a game, and I was talking to a person!" I scream at her.

"Oh fun I realized that I didn't tell you my name, I know it's been a long time so you probably don't remember," She answers not acknowledging my screaming.

"Well still never pull me straight from the game!" I continue yelling

"Okay okay my name is sky," she says

Is this the same girl from in the game that isn't possible because we were talking when I was pulled from the game, But the girl did go to the before I was ejected.
