[TSP] The Solo Player

Chapter 4

This all doesn't make sense. How can I be a friend with my sister that I've never met before now.

I wake up in the café where I was ejected from the game.

"Oh hi Tatsuo," Sky says with a smile

"I have a question," Do you have a brother?" I ask trying to figure out if she really is my sister

"Actually yes, we have just met after several years of being separated because our parents died," She replied although she was just telling me how she was made at her parents.

Maybe she is upset with her parents because they died and left her alone.

"I'm your brother," I say as her face lights up and realizes that I'm correct.

"Hey you've got to meet my friends Onyx, Azrael and Takeshi!" She yells, as she becomes happier and happier.

"I'm really not the best person to make friends with," I reply because I really don't want to make friends.

After our conversation she leaves to hangout with her friends and I feel like going cave diving in order to search for the boss on this level.

~TIME SKIP BY 2 MONTHS~

My eyes slowly open as I realize I'm in the real world.

It's odd I feel more alive in the game, I feel that this is the actual synthetic world and Tatsuo is the real person and I am only an avatar in a world that some person has programed.

I realize it's 7:00 in the morning and that I'm already late for school also attends the same school as me. We don't live that far from the school so we run down the street to arrive at school just before the bell rings. I arrive to class and take my seat today is going to be another day where the same thing happens.

"Welcome to class 3-1" The teacher says with a monotone voice indicating that this will be a boring six months.

The guy in front of me turns around to begin a conversation but before he can the teacher yells at him. After class I immediately head home to log on to Andrade.

Finally I don't have to be around everyone at the school, although it's nice to get out of the house for a little while it is still better to return to my world so that I can live how I want.

I returned to the game as I wake up I'm lying in the same field where I logged out. For the next few hours I decide to go dungeon diving. The Moldy smell of the dungeon is the smell I love the thought of the chance of death intrigues me, As I walk down what seems to be the longest hallway I hear a new noise a noise that seems so out of place to be in such a place as this.
Is it possible to laugh while down here in the darkness that traps your mind and soul, the noise I heard sounded exactly like the sound of laughter.

As I get closer the noise grows louder and louder. Finally I reach the end of the hallway only to find a wall and now the laughter has stopped, I push on the wall to make sure it really is what it seems. The gate swings open to show the boss's lair.
