Chapter 17

It was Austin.

I sighed in relief, I was afraid it was Chad.

He had blood running down his face and he was crying. I've never seen a boy cry, wow. 

" Sabrina! Are you okay?" he asked with worry in his voice

"Yeah" I said " What about you!"

"Sabrina, quit worrying about me." He gestured to my leg "Your the one who's bleeding, let's get you to the hospital"

"What about Chad?' I asked

"Don't worry about him, I took care of it" he said

I got up but my leg starting hurting. There was pain in my calf, pain I've never felt before, pain that was real pain. Not when you get a scrape when you fall, this was real pain. This was the real deal. 

I wobbled and then fell. I felt my head hit something hard, I could feel it bleeding.

"Sabrina! Sabrina! " I heard Austin say "Hold on! I'm gonna get an ambulance here!" I saw him pull out his cell phone,

Then everything went black.

Austin's POV

I saw everything. Her get up, her in extreme pain, her fall, an ambulance come.

It was really hard for me. They had to pry me off of her. I just couldn't leave her.

I spent the whole night at the hospital with her. I couldn't go to sleep, watching her in that hospital bed, not moving, breathing heavily, not opening her eyes. It hurts, it really does.

**** Two hours earlier ***

(Still Austin's POV)

She yelled out in pain when she got up. I rushed to help her, but it was too late. She fell and hit her head on the bricks.

"Sabrina! Sabrina!" I yelled at her, and pulled out my phone "Hold on! I'm gonna get an ambulance here!"

I called 911 and they came 5 minutes after.

Before that, I wrapped my arms around her and I wouldn't let her go. I couldn't let her spirit leave, I couldn't just stand there and look at her lifeless body. I eventually had to let go and I was in the back of the ambulance just staring at her.

"Open your eyes, Sabrina. Tell me your okay" I thought, but deep down, I knew she wasn't.

I watched her get moved into the hospital and the doctors treated her head and then checked her heart to make sure her brain damage didn't affect her heart. 

While they were doing that, I wondered. Would she become special needs? I would still love her but it wouldn't be the same. Would she even remember me?

My thoughts were interrupted with the screen going in one blank line. There was no heart rate.

I pushed the doctors away, even though I shouldn't have.

"Sabrina! Sabrina!" I screamed in her face hoping she would come back, but it didn't help.

Then the person with the electrical volt sting came and they did "1,2,3, clear"

And nothing happened for 2 minutes straight.

Is Sabrina dead, I thought.
