I have decided to write a story so I hope its good :)

I have always been the quiet and awkward child in both my family and at school. Abigal Turner, the creepy nerd girl who keeps her head in her books and mind up in the clouds. It's just all the same, I'm a nobody. But this year I'm gonna change that, there's no way i'm gonna be a shy and nerdy this sophmore year. This year I'm gonna be a nice, talkative, social butterfly.

So here I sit on my bed looking through my list of goals.

Goal #1, buy some amazing clothes.

My eyes looked to the bag of new clothes on my bedroom floor. I picked up my pen and checked off my goal. A smile crepted upon my face as i laid bvack onto my bed, holding the list tight. New and approved clothes makes some new friends.

"Abi, sweetie," my mom knocked on my door, " you getting ready for school?"

"Yeah, I'm just getting ready right now." I put my list down and went to my new bag of clothes. I pulled out a few clothes and came up with a pretty good outfit only to start frowning at it. The outfit was way out of my usual clothing range

First off, the yellow top was just way too low for my liking and the dark blue skinnies were just too fitting for my butt.. Second off, my light brown heel boots just seemed too fancy for a person like me. A feeling of wanting my sweatshirts passed through me for a split second.

"Get ahold of yourself Abi," I whispered to myself, "this year you're going to be a different person. So no more old worn down sweatshirts for you, missy."

After getting dressed I walked into my bathroom to tame my tangled hair. Brushing it wasn't the most graceful thing, there were several knots that had me bending my head back from trying to force the brush to untangle it. But once I was finished combing my hair, cascades of brown wavy hair fell down past my shoulders and back.

I overlooked myself in the mirror and smiled. I look good.

While I asessed myself infront of the mirror, I began to smell something deliscious. Following the smell, I walked out of my room and ended up in the kitchen. My mom was standing over in front of the stove cooking eggs and bacon. As i sat down on a stool at the counter my mom turned around and smiled at me.

"Good morning, sweetie, I thought that should make you an amazing breakfast for your first day of school."

I laughed. "Mom, you don't know how cliche you've made this breakfast."

The steam from the eggs wafted up to my nose as my mom filled the plate infront of me. Within seconds I was stuffing my face with the deliscious food, savoring the yummy taste. But that all soon ended when my grandma walked through the kitchen door.

"Oh Abigal, don't you know how fattening bacon is for you? Soon you'll be like a big walking human pig." Her snooty voice drifted pass me as she walked pass me to the refridge. "If you want to trying fitting in with everybody at school then you have to be skinny."

I rolled my eyes and ignored her comment. She's always picking on me, pushing me to be better. My mom, on the other hand, always disagreed.

"Oh Mom, stop picking on Abi like that. She's a beautiful girl and everyone will love her." My Mom came up to me and handed me some money. "Now go to school and knock them all off their feet."

"Thanks, Mom" I smiled and hugged her.

As I walked outside and looked around, I smiled. It's so close to fall, it was my favorite season. It's like summer is a transition for people to find their identities and then fall is when they try them out during the new school year. Plus it's beautiful to see the leaves change color and fall down.
