Today is the day, I'm finally gonna hang out with the popular group. People will actually get to notice me and I might have a chance at making more friends. Or at least some nice aquantances.

As I assessed myself in the mirror, I felt a tinge of guilt. Mandy, she hates all the populars, will she end up hating me if I hang out with them too much? I pray that Mandy will understand that I will never stop being her friend.

"Abi, you better get to school!" I heard my mom yell from my bedroom door.

"Just a second, Mom." I mumbled.

I walked over towards my bed and pulled out my goals list and checked off the next two goals.

Goal #2 Get Complimented by popular person.

Goal #3 Hang with a popular.

The drive to school was nerve wrecking. About five minutes after getting in the car and driving, nervousness washed over me. Thoughts of possible rejection plagued my mind. If the populars do reject me, everyone will laugh at me for the rest of my high school life. That would be worse than being a nobody.

I parked my car in an empty spot and sighed, banging my head on the wheel.

"Calm down, Abi," I whispered to myself, "maybe they won't notice you when you walk by and you'll have a great day with Mandy." I took a deep breath and slowly got out of the car.

I looked around for any signs of Mandy. My heart sunk when she was no where to be seen. I guess I'm gonna have to do this on my own. As I walked towards the school doors, I felt like people were watching me. Every few seconds I would turn my head to see but no one was. But just when I was about to enter through the doors, I heard her voice.

"Oh Abigal, you looking for us?" I turned to see Emily and Jay with their group of friends. They all began walking towards me, none of their friends seemed confused as to why Emily was talking to me.

"Oh.. Um yeah." I mumbled looking down as they all approached me.

"So tell me, Abigal, are you gonna hang with us today?" Emily said, poking my chest. Ouch.

"Well I guess since I don't see Mandy anywhere." Rubbing my chest, I looked up at them. Emily was smirking while Jay was looking away.

"Okay, well everyone," She looked at back at her group of friends, "what do you think of little miss Abigal here?"

A red haired girl who I knew was named Rose smiled and said, "She looks cool to hang, we can try breaking her out of her shell."

"Oh, we can try breaking her in." A tall bulky guy laughed, a shorted one laughed along with him and they bother shared a high five. Rose rolled her green eyes while Emily made a disgusted face.

"Please ignore the horndog, Ricky, over there. He needs to learn he can't bang every girl in his sight."

Ricky put on a face of mock hurt.

"Emily, I thought you were to love me for who I am, not judge me! Abi. do you think I'm a horndog?" His suddened question shocked me. Never has a person asked me a question like this except for Mandy..

"Well.. Huh I don't-"

"Hey Abi," Mandy's angry welcome cut my answear off.

My face heated up as I turned my head and her piercing almond shapped eyes. Her hands were on her hips and her toe was tapping, face angry. Conner stood next to her, looking at his brother.
