she smiled
she laughed
for that moment
the colours in the sky
and the stars in space
seemed a little brighter
but when she stopped
her eyes became dark
words got shorter
the quiet got longer
it was as if the world got darker
she tried to hide it
but everyone could see
that her sky had no stars
that in her life had no light
she thought to herself,
what's the point?
she reached--
she jumped--
but she didn't
but she couldn't
