they'll see us in the sky
with the incandescent sparks of youth
we'll light the sky
you and i
the stars in our eyes
the galaxies in our souls
the nebulas in our veins
our hearts riddled with black holes ,
that formed when everything fell apart
we dared to do things no one did
different planets; different galaxies
yet together
we are one universe
shining bright for everyone to see
glittering; glimmering
a glittering, glimmering universe
the sun in our smiles
despite the tears
far-away constellations in our sights
despite the fears
although we may drift apart
as the ever-expanding universe widens
& grows
like the planets in the solar system
like the stars in the sky
we'll always be there
you and i
with the incandescent sparks of our youth
we'll light the sky
for them to see
glittering; glimmering
in the sky
so i won't forget you
and you won't forget me.
[ this poem is dedicated to my class and all of my school friends. i love you loads and i will never forget all the fun times we had together. you are some of the best friends i ever had the chance to meet. thank you for making this part of my life unforgettable. ]
