Tyler was so happy, so genuine, and a little stubborn. He knew what he liked, he knew what he wanted to do, and he always took things to the extreme.
I remember the Friday night get-togethers and kick backs we always had with all our friends, but there was one particular Friday night I'll never forget. It was a party at our friend Winton's house. We brought all the supplies, as well as ourselves and we were having the times of our lives. I tried to limit my drinks because I had been talking to a guy for a while and we were planning on meeting up later that night.
I got a text from the boy a little later. His name is Neil and he asked if we could meet up. I was only at the party for about 30 minutes and I felt rude for leaving, but I liked Neil and I needed to get out before it became illegal for me to drive. At first, I tried to convince him to come to Winton's house but he wanted to take me to a little dinner and "something special". So, I agreed and went over to Tyler to tell him what I was about to do.
"What, you're leaving?!" Tyler asked.
"Yeah, I'm gonna get together with Neil for a little, then we'll try and head over here afterwards." I said.
"Hey, you be careful, babygirl. I don't want to have to fuck anyone up tonight!" Tyler yelled.
"I will! I'll call you if I need you." I said.
"I love you, Ty!" I exclaimed.
"I love you too!" Tyler replied.
We hugged goodbye and Tyler told me one more time to be very careful.
I wish I never left that night.
