"Can you control who sees you?" I asked Tyler.
"Yes. But only I can." Tyler said.
"Show Michael!" I shouted.
Tyler looked at me with regret. I rolled my eyes.
"Do you want Michael to go mental like you did?" Tyler asked.
"Yes! I do!" I yelled.
I rolled my eyes. I still felt so guilty only I could see Tyler.
"You know what, let's show him. I can tell this situation upsets you." Tyler said.
"What do you expect, Tyler? I feel bad. I love you, but it's just not fair. I'm happy it's me. But Michael has been around for longer than me. And... your mom, she's your fucking mom. You know that. She needs to see you more than I do. I just don't even want to talk about it." I said.
Tyler put his hand on my leg. After a minute or two I smiled. Then, we arrived at Michael's. I took a deep breath and walked up to the door. I rang the door bell and I opened the door to see a scruffy Michael with sweat pants on and a bit of a beard.
"Hi, Michael." I said.
"Hi, Salem. Sorry I didn't really clean up to well. Week's been rough, you know. But you look great! Come on in." Michael said.
I quickly cut to the small talk. I was talking so quickly, because I was ready to Michael to see Tyler already. I could feel Tyler's eyes on me. I kept the conversation going for a little. Then, I dropped the bomb.
"Michael, I need to show you something. I don't want you to freak out or pass out, or be mad. There was certainly some uncertainty with this but I fought for you, and for this."
Michael gave me the look of uncertainty. He came over and sat next to me like I was going show it to him on my phone. He got real close, so close that I could feel his heart pumping.
"Here's the thing, Michael... it's not on my phone." I told Michael.
I could practically hear his heart beating.
I watched Tyler walk through the front door. My eyes widened. I forgot he was an angel.
"What are you looking at?" Michael asked, sounding panicked.
"You'll see." I told him.
"I know what this is. Paranormal, weird shit. I'm seein' Tyler in my dreams! He's got something to do with it." Michael said.
I smiled.
There was a knock at the door. Michael looked at me with wide eyes.
"Want me to get it?" I asked as I winked at him.
I opened the door to see Tyler.
"Hi, Michael." Tyler said smiling.
Michael shot up and ran to him, almost tackling him.
"Tyler, I-I can't believe it's you! Explain this all to me!" Michael shouted.
"I'm an angel." Tyler said sweetly.
Michael and Tyler had the same conversation Tyler and I had... or close to that.
Later that day we left. I was shocked that Michael was calm. He predicted what was going to happen and he was okay with all of it. He wasn't even guilty. Why wasn't he confused? Why didn't he cry, or faint? My mind became clouded with thoughts.
Why?
