Elissa's POV

Here we are right outside of Clary's dream institute which is literally like a few blocks from our house after this we were going to meet up with Simon and then we're going out with Simon and Maureen after their gig oh did not mention that Simon can sing well he can and he sounds like a freaking angel. Anyway while Clary is looking up at the building I started talking "Hey I don't know why you're so nervous it's not like you haven't shown people your art before I mean have you seen your half of the room seriously clean up around there." She looked at me weirdly and said "Is this conversation going anywhere helpful?" I rolled my eyes "Yes I would've probably been finished had you not interrupted me but as I was saying you are going to get this I know you will, you know why I know...?" I said looking at her with a grin she groaned knowing what I was about to say "Because I'm Clary freaking Fray and I just need to hike up my skirt walk in that building and show those people in their just why my middle name is freaking which by the way it isn't" She said with a smile before turning towards the building once again and walked inside while I stayed outside of the building and looked for some place I could go to while Clary did this. I found a little ice cream shop and went there and just as I was finishing up my ice cream I saw clary coming out the building with the biggest smile on her face I automatically knew that she had gotten in. I ran up to her and hugged her as tightly as I possibly could have I mean this has been her dream since she started taking art classes and going to art events. While walking to the coffee place we were supposed to meet Simon I came up with the plan to make Simon think Clary hadn't gotten into her dream school. She walked in looking depressed while I had followed in behind her looking sympathetic, he saw our expressions and I knew our plan had actually worked he started getting all worked up telling Clary "Give me their names and I will destroy them.." we looked at him like he was crazy so the he added "with a scathing email to the Dean" then we all laughed after Clary said "No need" while showing him her acceptance letter with a little sneaky smirk on her face he then realized that he had been tricked by two very intelligent "Really sad face" he said with a smile on his face. After we all talked and drank coffee we decided that Simon would meet up with us at our house later so we walked home and walked through the boutique shop that was owned by our friend Dot we stopped to talk to her "Hey Dot, how's it going? How's the future looking?" I said with a little smirk as I saw Dot looking at her tarot cards intensely. She looked up and said "It looks bright but not as bright as yours and Clary the cards tell me that Clary here got her scholarship and for you Lissy they tell me that soon you will find the love of your life." We looked at her me more in surprise because I know Simon did not talk about me finding love on his twitter page because if he did I will end that little rat. I ran upstairs to see mom while Clary stayed downstairs talking to Dot when I got up to our apartment I walked to mom and gave her a hug from behind "Hi mommy" I said giving her a kiss on the cheek. She turned to me and said "What did you do Pumpkin?" she asked knowing that I call her mommy only when I either did something wrong and potentially illegal or when I want something I am a little offended she didn't assume I wanted something first she usually does. I gave her my best offended face and said "Hey I actually wanted something this time." she looked at me and we both started laughing after all that I asked "Do you know where I put my cute gold studded wedges?" she shook her head and then looked as if she were thinking about something and said "Check your closet you always put your shoes underneath the perfect shirt you think they'd go with" after she said that I ran to my closet and she was right there were my cute red studded boots under my dress for tonight I had only had like 40 minutes before Simon came to get me and Clary so I started getting ready right away after 30 minutes I was finally ready. I walked out to see mom, Clary, and "DAD!!!" I screamed as I saw Luke or 'Dad' to me Clary still warming up to the idea that Luke may possibly be our stepdad I embrace before it even happens. Luke turned around just in time to catch me as I ran toward him everyone laughed watching me act like a 5 year old opening her biggest birthday gift ever. "Hey there's the little pumpkin head I was looking for" he said causing mom and Clary to laugh we talked for a while until Simon came and as we were getting ready to leave Simon turned smelling my mom's famous chicken cacciatore. Me and Clary each grabbed one of his arms and dragged him to the van. After his gig with Maureen, a girl who clearly can't see the guy she has a crush on has a mega crush on his red headed best friend, we were all at the van near this awesome club called Pandemonium and we were all having the usual talk until Clary mentioned how weird mom was acting with her before we left "Clary it's not just you when I turned 18 she wouldn't even let me out of the house after 10" Simon mentioned something about my mother being an overprotective alien mom or something I zoned out. But I was brought back when this dude basically pushed me and continued walking I yelled "Well aren't you a sweetheart? You just bumped into me you going to say sorry or do I have punch until you feel sorry?" I know it was harsh and I'm not going lie the dude was beyond hot but as you can tell I don't appreciate being disrespected no matter how hot he is he turned to me and he looked surprise "You can see me?".
